In Black Myth: Wukong, one of the initial significant battles is against Lingxuzi, a demon resembling a wolf, who dwells in the Guanyin Temple within the Wolf Forest. He’s not the most challenging adversary you’ll encounter, but his swift and predictable attacks will require you to nimbly move around the battlefield. Even so, here are some beginner-friendly tips that might give you an advantage.

Engaging with this wolf offers several advantageous prizes that will prove beneficial later in the game and equip you for even more challenging adversaries.

How to Find Lingxuzi and Beat Lingxuzi

To locate Lingxuzi in Black Myth: Wukong, you should traverse the entire Forest of Wolves on Black Wind Mountain. This area is also where a secret questline can be discovered. Your adventure will commence from a shrine outside the forest and proceed through various wolves until you encounter a cave.

1. Traverse the cave’s passageway, and it will lead you to the Guanyin Temple’s front door eventually. Once you’ve handled an adversary gang outside, climb the stairs to reach the temple, interact with the nearby altar, and brace yourself for the internal conflict.

As soon as you step into the temple, Lingxuzi launches a rapid sequence of strikes and jumps. Though swift, his moves are generally predictable, enabling you to evade them and retaliate effectively.

Yet, getting too near may cause him to launch a fierce howl that could send you sprawling. If he manages to bite, the impact could be devastatingly severe.

To counter the boss, you should use Immobilize and Red Tides, and if you want to defeat it quickly, use your Pillar Stance to stay above his low attacks and strike when he is recovering from his leaps and slams.

Not only do you receive rewards, but when you defeat the boss, you’ll also find a powerful Celestial Jade Lotus Potion that boosts your maximum health. To get it, navigate through the temple situated across from the arena, then veer left. You’ll spot a golden chest atop a table; open it to collect the Celestial Jade Lotus Potion.

Overcoming Lingxuzi rewards you with 1049 experience points (XP), 705 Will, a Stone Spirit, along with a Grey Wolf Mask as headgear and a Mind Core.
