3. Wait for another bear to appear nearby. This could take some time, but be patient!
4. Once both bears are in sight, let them engage in combat.

6. If the conditions are met and the fight is intense enough, you should unlock the achievement.
7. Enjoy the impressive display of bear-on-bear action!

Two Bears High-Fiving achievement guide in Avowed

Initially, it’s essential that you learn to call upon a bear. To achieve this, you must acquire the ‘Bear Ally’ skill from the ‘Ranger’ proficiency branch. However, keep in mind that this skill can only be unlocked using one ability point once your character reaches level 15, which typically occurs around the 15-20 hour mark of gameplay.

With your newfound ability to call upon a Bear Ally, navigate towards Emerald Stair and proceed to the northeastern part of the map. This area is not far from where the Ranger Headquarters stand. To the west of this location, there lies a depressed region with shallow waters. Amidst some mushroom monster adversaries, you’ll likely spot a bear roaming around here (provided you haven’t eliminated it previously).

Eliminate the mushroom adversaries by yourself first, then call forth your bear ally. Ideally, summon it when the enemy bear is close to you. They will automatically target each other. Allow them to engage in combat for some time, occasionally intervening with an attack or two, and eventually, the achievement should be unlocked.”

Bear locations in Avowed

As a fellow adventurer who’s taken down the bear northwest of Ranger Headquarters, I bet there are other beasts you haven’t encountered yet (since enemies don’t regenerate). My suggestion would be to explore the area west of Emerald Stair, particularly around the Rock Arch Beacon fast travel point, just east of The Delemgan Glade.

In this location, you’ll discover not one but two bears mixed with other adversaries you can eliminate. As you delve deeper into Dalamagn territory en route to the queen, additional bears might appear, making it an excellent spot for exploration.

Instead, consider revisiting Dawnshore and delve into the woodlands east of the city, particularly those marked on your map. Focus on the forested regions near Yellowband Camp, to the east of Woedica’s Shrine, and south of the Emerald Stair Gatehouse. I’ve highlighted these spots with red circles on the map snapshot provided.

During your exploration in these locations, you might encounter some bears roaming around. Since there are no critical missions requiring you to visit this area, it’s likely that you’ll come across a bear or two that you haven’t defeated yet. Specifically, the forested regions on the western side of Dawnshore, known as Overgrown Frontier, are where you’re most likely to find these bears.

All bear ally upgrades

You can simplify earning this accomplishment by buying the enhancements for the Bear Ally skill at Ranks 2 and 3. A brief description of their functions and when they become available is provided below.

  • Rank 2 (unlocked at level 18): Your bear ally roars when summoned, taunting enemies and increasing the damage it deals.
  • Rank 3 (unlocked at level 20): Increases the duration of your bear ally summon by 15 seconds.

By boosting both the damage it inflicts and the length of time it stays by your side, your bear companion becomes more likely to engage in combat with another bear. This could result in dealing greater damage that stands a chance of unlocking the achievement. I was able to achieve it without these upgrades, but if you’re finding it difficult, this adjustment should assist you.
