The long-awaited day of resurrection, or so it seems on TV, marks its debut with the first episode of SYFY’s show titled Revival.
With an impressive 83% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, this series is based on the Image comic book by Tim Seely and Mike Norton, titled Wynonna Earp. The main character, Dana Cypress, played by Melanie Scrofano from Wynonna Earp, is a small-town Wisconsin police officer. Her life takes an unexpected turn when people, including her own little sister, mysteriously rise from their graves as if they never died. These individuals, known as Revivers, do not behave like brain-eating zombies; instead, they appear to have simply awakened from a deep slumber.
Alongside Scrofano, the cast also features Romy Weltman known from “Murdoch Mysteries”, David James Elliott recognized for his role in “Mad Men”, and Andy McQueen, who starred in “Mrs. Davis”. In addition, recurring guest stars include Steven Ogg best known for “The Walking Dead”, Phil Brooks (also known as CM Punk) from “Mayans M.C.”, Gia Sandhu from “A Simple Favor”, Katharine King So from “The Recruit”, Maia Jae of “In the Dark”, Nathan Dales from “Letterkenny”, Mark Little from “Doomlands”, Glen Gould from “Tulsa King”, Lara Jean Chorostecki recognized for her work in “Nightmare Alley”, and Conrad Coates who has appeared in “Fargo”.
