2025 kicks off with a bang for me, as I celebrate a momentous milestone: 25 years in the captivating world of cinema! And what better way to commemorate this achievement than on my birthday, January 10th – a day I share with the extraordinary actor Hrithik Roshan. This year marks his 51st birthday, and in honor of this special occasion, his debut film, Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai, will grace our cinemas once again. To celebrate Hrithik’s remarkable journey, let’s take a stroll down memory lane and revisit five of his most beloved films that I’d be thrilled to see resurface on the silver screen.
1. Koi Mil Gaya
The movie “Koi Mil Gaya,” a blend of science fiction, action, and drama, premiered in 2003. Starring alongside Hrithik Roshan, this film features key performances from Preity Zinta and Rekha. Directed by Rakesh Roshan, it marks the beginning of the Krrish series as its first installment. The audience adores Hrithik’s portrayal of Rohit Mehra and his special connection with the alien character named Jadoo.
2. Dhoom 2
In a 2006 action-packed thriller titled “Dhoom 2,” helmed by Sanjay Gadhvi, the charismatic Hrithik Roshan donned the role of the villain, Mr A, the cunning thief. The audience was captivated by his dynamic interactions with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and the intriguing chase scenes involving Abhishek Bachchan, Uday Chopra, and Bipasha Basu. It’s a joyful anticipation to imagine Hrithik grooving to “Dhoom Again” once more on the silver screen.
3. Krrish
Krrish is a follow-up to the movie Koi Mil Gaya and tells the story of Krishna, the son of Rohit Mehra, who possesses extraordinary abilities. Priyanka Chopra acts alongside Rakesh Roshan in this production, directed by him. As talks about Krrish 4 beginning production soon, now might be a great opportunity to rewatch this 2006 film in theaters again.
4. Jodhaa Akbar
Hrithik Roshan’s highly praised film from 2008 is Jodhaa Akbar. This historical romantic drama beautifully portrays the enchanting relationship between him and Aishwarya Rai. The movie was masterfully directed by Ashutosh Gowariker.
5. Agneepath
In 2012, I was utterly captivated by the movie Agneepath, where Hrithik Roshan transformed into an action hero, squaring off against the formidable antagonist portrayed by Sanjay Dutt. Pivotal roles were played by Priyanka Chopra and Rishi Kapoor in this film directed by Karan Malhotra.
