As a long-time fan and avid gamer, I can’t help but feel a deep sense of nostalgia and excitement when I see Hugh Jackman‘s iconic portrayal of Wolverine come to life once again, this time in the form of a hilarious interaction with a Cyclops cosplayer. The video is a testament to Jackman’s enduring charm and dedication to his craft, which has kept him at the forefront of pop culture for over two decades.

As a gamer, I’d put it this way: Man, let me tell you, if there was any question in my mind about Hugh Jackman being one of the most badass celebs out there, that doubt has been completely erased. I’ve seen the new Instagram video posted by “Nott Summers Cosplay” and it’s a riot!

I was thrilled to attend the London premiere of “Deadpool & Wolverine” alongside Hugh Jackman. Dressed as Cyclops from the comics, I donned the iconic blue and yellow suit instead of the black costume seen in the movies. As we chatted, Jackman jokingly asked, “You really go out wearing that?” To which I playfully retorted, “Why not? Black leather isn’t my style.”

I couldn’t help but reference the iconic line from the X-Men movie, where Cyclops playfully retorted with “What about blue and orange spandex, sir?” when someone inquired about my costume choice for the Instagram post. The reaction was tremendous, with fans expressing their delight and appreciation. When asked about Jackman’s feelings towards filming the video, I shared that he found it amusing and enjoyed the experience.

When the initial X-Men film premiered in 2000, director Bryan Singer and Fox Studios aimed to present it as a serious production akin to 1989’s Batman, avoiding dismissive categorization as a children’s film. To achieve this, they opted for more realistic black leather costumes instead of the bright colors comic enthusiasts anticipated. However, with the progression of comic book movies and audience preferences, the use of colorful spandex in superhero ensembles is no longer frowned upon. Wolverine, portrayed by Jackman, has yet to adopt his iconic blue-and-yellow attire, but fans are now eager for it.

In the ever-evolving world of comic book movies, where characters are frequently revived and rebooted, Hugh Jackman stands out as the sole live-action portrayal of Wolverine for more than two decades. His remarkable performance has etched itself as the definitive version of the character, surpassing even the comics in the collective consciousness of many viewers. The initial 2000 film catapulted Jackman to fame and sparked a renewed interest in comic book adaptations, paving the way for the current Marvel Cinematic Universe and DC Extended Universe.

As a long-time fan of the X-Men universe, I’ve had the pleasure of watching Hugh Jackman bring Wolverine to life on the big screen for over two decades. His portrayal of the iconic character has been nothing short of exceptional, and I’ve eagerly anticipated each new appearance.

As a die-hard gamer and avid fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), I was just as excited as everyone else when Deadpool and Wolverine hit the big screen with Hugh Jackman in the iconic role of Wolverine. Many fans believed that this would be Jackman’s last hurrah, his swan song, for the beloved character. However, during a recent interview on his current press tour for the film, I was taken aback when Jackman refused to dismiss the possibility of another appearance in the MCU. In response to a question about potentially returning to the MCU, he casually replied, “I don’t know how to answer that.” This unexpected response is certainly worth noting, as it suggests that Jackman might not have closed the door on Wolverine just yet.

Deadpool & Wolverine
opens in theaters in North America on July 26.
