AI-centric tech company Natura Umana has hinted at the upcoming Humanpods earbuds, a wireless open-ear design that allows users to access artificial intelligence help with a light tap. Scheduled for an official reveal at CES 2025 in Las Vegas, the business refers to its groundbreaking headset as providing “an experience akin to a telepathic link with your technology.
The unique operating system of this startup, known as Nature OS, provides a smooth user experience. Users can interact with specialized artificial intelligence agents, referred to as “AI People,” through voice commands. These AI People are modeled after human interaction and are capable of assuming various roles based on the user’s needs. For instance, they could act as therapists, fitness trainers, or travel guides, all depending on the request made by the user.
Users have the ability to interact with official LLMs such as ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude directly, without the necessity of opening applications or even physically handling their phones.
Natura Umana’s Humanpods assert that they deliver premium sound and comfort without compromise. The device features a tailor-made 14.8mm driver, designed to optimally fit in the ear canal for exceptional audio performance. Moreover, Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC) and dual-microphone technology are employed to block out nearly 90% of ambient noise. Lastly, dynamic bass enhancement ensures consistent sound quality by automatically adjusting levels.
At the moment, a specific launch date hasn’t been disclosed. But, you can expect to see this new device unveiled at CES 2025. It’s scheduled for public release during the first three months of 2025.
