As a lifelong royal watcher and avid fan of all things Windsor, I must admit that Prince Harry‘s latest antics have left me both amused and slightly bewildered. From his candid memoir to his daring tattoo escapades, it seems like our dear prince is intent on keeping us all on our toes!
I’m accustomed to Prince Harry being candid and disclosing personal details, such as bombshell revelations about his life. In his latest memoir titled “Spare“, he made shocking claims concerning his upbringing, and there were numerous surprises during the in-depth interview with Oprah that he and Meghan Markle gave. However, one disclosure that was unexpected to me was him admitting a desire for a “lower back” or “buttocks” tattoo.
Next year marks the seventh cycle of the Invictus Games that will take place in Vancouver. Proud founding member Prince Harry clearly wants to ensure he has the best lineup of performances as an Instagram video revealed him asking country musician Jelly Roll to perform. After the American musician requested Prince Harry let him tattoo him first, the Duke of Sussex actually admitted where he wanted it, and I was not expecting this:

Indeed, you caught Prince Harry expressing a desire for a “lower back” or “butt” tattoo. Instead, he ended up with an unsuccessful neck tattoo from the “Need a Favor” rapper, displaying the words, “I am Jelly Roll.” The video of this event was quite amusing, and it’s clear that the incident wasn’t exactly enjoyable for the prince. However, his dedication to having his musical guests attend his sporting events is evident, as he was willing to get a tattoo from a musician with limited tattooing experience.
Thankfully, it’s clear that Prince Harry won’t be sporting a neck tattoo reading “I am Jelly Roll” for the duration of his life; it was merely a humorous promotional stunt designed to generate interest in the upcoming Invictus Games. The ex-captain of the British Army was spotted without any tattoos on his neck at the Grey Cup in Vancouver and at the Seaforth Armoury, where he launched the Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025 School Program.
Regardless of whether Prince Harry didn’t genuinely receive a tattoo from Jelly Roll, this joke serves an excellent intention. If you found it intriguing watching the “Son of a Sinner” artist as a guest performer on SNL 50 or singing on Tulsa King, you’ll be equally enthusiastic to learn that Jelly Roll will spearhead the closing ceremony of the Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025.
In Prince Harry’s “informative” Netflix documentary series titled “Heart of Invictus,” it was explained that the Invictus Games are a multi-sport competition for military personnel who have been wounded, injured, or ill. The 2025 games will mark a milestone as they will include winter adaptive sports such as Nordic skiing, alpine skiing, skeleton, wheelchair curling, and others. Additionally, it was announced that Jelly Roll’s performance lineup will be unveiled on November 20th.
As a gamer getting ready for the seventh round of The Invictus Games, set from February 8th-16th, I’d recommend taking some time to stream “Heart of Invictus” and other inspiring productions featuring a member of the British royal family, available on Netflix with your subscription.
Now that it’s clear where Prince Harry prefers to get a tattoo, on his lower back or more colloquially known as his rear end, I’m curious about Meghan Markle’s response to this surprising revelation.
