As a gamer who has spent countless hours exploring the wasteland of Fallout and admiring Walton Goggins‘ stellar acting performances, I couldn’t be more thrilled to see that production for Season 2 is officially underway! It’s like finding a Nuka-Cola Quantum in the middle of a scorched earth – pure bliss.
Among the many anticipated additions to the 2024 TV lineup, Amazon Prime Video’s adaptation of the popular video game series, “Fallout,” certainly stood out. Critically acclaimed and boasting impressive viewership numbers, it was only a matter of time before the streamer renewed the post-apocalyptic drama for a second season. Given this, one question fans have been asking is when filming might begin. Now, it seems that cast member Walton Goggins is once again in makeup, and the scenes appear to be quite intense.
Actor Walton Goggins, who is well-liked by fans and has garnered much acclaim including an Emmy nomination for his role as Cooper Howard/The Ghoul, appears to hint that work on “Fallout” Season 2 is commencing. This assumption arises from a behind-the-scenes photo he shared on Instagram, which suggests the fitting of prosthetics for his character’s gun-wielding persona. Take a look at the picture yourself.

I’m thrilled beyond words about the anticipated comeback of Fallout, and it’s fantastic to learn that production seems to have started, or at least pre-production is underway. It’s likely that we won’t see the new episodes for a while yet. However, fans should definitely look forward to it. There’s another point in this post that deserves attention as well.
In an amusing account, Walton Goggins from Fallout shares the time his Ghoul makeup gave him a frightening surprise.
As a fan, I can’t help but admire the extraordinary makeup work that goes into the show we all love. The skills of the artists behind these transformations are nothing short of remarkable. Though I’ve never had to endure the process myself, I imagine it must be tedious and challenging for those who create the prosthetics. And for the actors, wearing them and delivering convincing performances must be an intense experience.
The series Fallout was quickly revived following its debut in April. Initial reactions from the main cast members – Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten, and Kyle MacLachlan – were overwhelmingly positive about the development. In October, Purnell spoke with TopMob regarding Season 2’s progression. At that point, she admitted her uncertainty as to when production would commence. Additionally, she shared her excitement to reprise her character, ex-Vault 33 resident Lucy MacLean, though she hadn’t received a script or any details about filming at the time.
Following the end of Fallout Season 1, the principal characters found themselves in intriguing predicaments. Lucy joined forces with the Ghouls in a quest to locate Vault-Tec’s leaders, while Maximus (Aaron Moten) was bestowed knighthood by the Brotherhood of Steel due to suspicion that he had caused commander Lee Moldaver’s demise. Moreover, Lucy’s ominous father, Hank, unexpectedly appeared at what remained of New Vegas.
I can’t wait to uncover what’s coming up on this fantastic series, but I also understand that patience will be required. Still, Walton Goggins’ makeup sneak peek assures us that things are moving forward with the upcoming episodes. Moreover, it’s undeniably proof that Goggins is passionate about his work and truly enjoys being part of this production.
For now, you can stream the first season of Fallout using a Prime Video subscription.
