‘I Get Criticized 24/7’: The Masked Singer’s Royal Knight Shared The Joy Of Performing On The Show, And It’s A Perspective I Never Considered

As a long-time fan of The Masked Singer and someone who has spent countless hours watching reality TV, I must say that this Thanksgiving episode was a delightful surprise. It was refreshing to see Jana Kramer, a multi-talented artist with a busy career in acting and music, grace the stage and share her love for performing.

❗️Caution: The information below reveals spoilers from the Peanuts Night episode of “The Masked Singer” on Hulu. View it with your Hulu subscription, but beware – you’ve been warned! 🎭🌟

In my opinion, The Masked Singer’s Thanksgiving episode could have benefited from more Peanuts tunes, however, overall, it was a triumph for the Fox series. Regrettably, the Group C finals in Season 12 were incredibly intense, and it’s disappointing that not all contestants could progress to the next round. Despite this, Royal Knight, who turned out to be actress Jana Kramer, expressed her gratitude for being part of the competition and spoke about her delight at participating on the show with TopMob.

Instead of simply appearing on the 2025 TV lineup as you might anticipate, Kramer has been balancing her time between acting and live music performances for quite some time. I inquired about her experience receiving praise from accomplished singers such as Robin Thicke and Rita Ora, to which she enthusiastically shared her positive experiences on the set of The Masked Singer, highlighting its overall vibrant atmosphere.

1) What stands out about the program is its warmth and lack of stress. It’s more about enjoying yourself, not worrying about perfecting your performance or being judged harshly by Simon Cowell. Even if you weren’t pitch-perfect, they would still praise you, saying ‘You did fantastic!’ This show just exudes a warm, affectionate vibe, which really appeals to me.

On “The Masked Singer,” positivity is at the heart of its success, perhaps why they avoided a Robin Thicke connection during “Miley Cyrus Night.” Audience members might occasionally mock Ken Jeong for his incorrect guesses, but they never truly criticize the contestants. If even Savannah Chrisley escapes boos on TMS, no one is safe!

I find myself somewhat sympathetic towards that criticism, given that Jana Kramer often discusses the constant criticism she encounters in her daily life. She frequently reflects on the challenges of being in the public spotlight and views The Masked Singer as a refreshing break from the norm.

As a fan myself, it’s simply delightful to escape the constant criticism that seems to be an unavoidable part of my daily life, whether it’s online critiques about my personal choices or feeling judged for not meeting expectations. It was such a refreshing change to be on a show where instead of being criticized, I heard words of encouragement like “You were great” and “You did so well.” Hearing praise from individuals who are respected and successful in their fields felt genuinely uplifting.

In a refreshing twist, it won’t be Jana Kramer facing criticism for distributing sex toys before her Lifetime film or the playful wit in her Hallmark movies on “The Masked Singer”. She aptly points out Fox series as a haven of contemporary TV, and she’s spot-on with that observation. Let’s hope “America’s Got Talent” continues without Simon Cowell and his critical demeanor towards acts!

In this week’s episode, not just Jana Kramer was eliminated, but also Sherlock Hound was unveiled as former professional baseball player Bronson Arroyo. Both had been stellar throughout their stint, yet the mystery persona beneath Strawberry Shortcake’s mask has consistently amazed us, making it seem possible that they could take home Season 12. However, since I haven’t seen the other finalists perform for quite some time, I think I need to catch up before deciding on a clear winner.

On Wednesdays at 8:00 p.m. ET, The Masked Singer resumes its regular slot on Fox. With few episodes remaining in this season, don’t miss out; let’s tune in together to witness the upcoming stages of the contest!
