Among the upcoming science fiction films, there’s much excitement among fans about the release of “The Electric State“. With your Netflix subscription, you can catch its premiere in 2025, as it stars Millie Bobby Brown from “Stranger Things” alongside Chris Pratt. Their mission? To find her brother in a world dominated by robots in a dystopian setting. Interestingly, the film’s creators, Joe and Anthony Russo, are pleased with the special effects, but Pratt recently confessed that he accidentally disrupted one take by passing gas so loudly that it “affected the audio.
What Did Chris Pratt Say About Farting While Filming The Electric State?
I’ve never had unrealistic expectations about famous people, even those I admire. After all, they may live glamorous lives, but they are still human beings, and just like everyone else, they do natural bodily functions like passing gas. So, the fact that Chris Pratt farted during filming for “The Electric State” isn’t surprising because it’s likely everyone on set passed wind while cameras were rolling.
However, I just found out that the father of four actually backfired so boisterously while working that his bottom sounds screwed up a take. A post on Instagram where the actor and his recently wed co-star, Millie Bobby Brown, played pop quiz saw him answer a question about Brown’s favorite scene to film with him with this anecdote:
- Chris Pratt: It was a scene in the mall where I was laying down eating Twinkies. And it’s because I farted so loud, it messed up the audio.
- Millie Bobby Brown: It was epic!
Absolutely! In movies and TV shows, you’ve likely noticed scenes where a production crew is filming a fictional movie or series within the storyline, and someone shouts “Silence on set!” before the director gives the command “Action!” The microphones used on film sets are quite sensitive, requiring precise conditions to capture dialogue without any background noise. This is crucial because actors often need to record Automated Dialogue Replacement (ADR) after filming, in order to perfect lines that were not properly recorded during the initial shooting.
Well, let me rephrase that for you: Goodness gracious! Was that fart you just let out more like an explosion than a regular release? If we’re talking “epic,” it was so loud, I’m pretty sure it would have caught everyone’s attention. To put it mildly, I don’t think this could be chalked up to a simple “pop” or even a powerful “boom.” No, my friends, this one seemed to be more of an over-the-top, obnoxiously noxious kind of thunderous flatulence. If you want to see it for yourself, take a look at the video below:

They don’t linger much on the topic, but it’s at least refreshing that they both appear content that Pratt’s poem is now a favorable conversation piece. It does make me ponder for a moment about how long it took everyone on set to stop chuckling, since I found myself laughing as I wrote most of this article.
