I Just Found Out Some Surprising BTS Details About Filming Alison Sweeney’s Hannah Swensen Mysteries, And I’m Loving One Cute Bit About Her Real-Life Husband

As a long-time fan of Hallmark movies, I must say that this year’s offerings have me particularly excited, especially given the behind-the-scenes insights from Alison Sweeney about her latest Hannah Swensen murder mystery. Her unique approach to crafting these intriguing mysteries is truly fascinating.

As a gaming enthusiast, nothing quite compares to this exhilarating season approaching, not the one with snow and presents, but the one where Hallmark unleashes a flood of new original movies! This year, we’ve got two fantastic flicks brewing from the ever-popular Alison Sweeney. Just recently, she spilled some behind-the-scenes secrets about her latest Hannah Swensen murder mystery production – and guess what? Even my real-life partner (not to be mixed up with on-screen love interest Victor Webster) is joining in the fun!

Sweeney is a precious gem in our network, and we always look forward to chatting with her about her diverse projects. For instance, we recently discussed her upcoming Hallmark movie titled “A Sprinkle of Deceit” and her forthcoming Christmas movie “This Time Each Year”. Interestingly enough, during our conversation, we delved into the process of creating one of the cable network’s most popular murder mysteries with the actress. However, I must admit that some details she shared took me by surprise.

I Had No Idea That These Murder Mysteries Started With Writing The Murder, But It Makes Sense

When crafting a story, particularly a murder mystery, I usually start by brainstorming an initial scene, but as Alison Sweeney explained, her approach is quite different – she begins by determining who the victim is and how they are killed. Then, she works backwards from there, constructing the entire narrative with hints and clues along the way.

Ms. Sweeney, the author of “Hannah Swensen: One Bad Apple“, described it as an incredibly intriguing method, according to her remarks to TopMob.

In our investigation, we begin by examining the murder and then delve deeper, asking questions such as ‘What led to this person’s death? What methods were used? Why did the perpetrator commit this act?’ Then, I proceed backward using the clues, like ‘If the crime wasn’t planned, there might be certain things overlooked that will need to be addressed later. Or perhaps it was meticulously planned. That’s why the crime scene is impeccably clean and void of any evidence. But what does this imply?’

In a detective story or real-life investigation, crucial elements such as red herrings, genuine leads, logical conclusions, and so forth are typically established once the murder has been meticulously premeditated. It’s not about scattering clues if you haven’t already figured out who, what, when, where, and why a crime has been committed. If this isn’t your line of work (which definitely isn’t for me), it can be puzzling to understand where such investigations begin. Admittedly, I didn’t anticipate the process.

Alison Sweeney Takes Advice From Her Former Law Enforcement Husband

Moreover, Ms. Sweeney revealed an intriguing tidbit regarding the production of the “Hannah Swensen Mysteries” movies that I found fascinating and will undoubtedly enhance my viewing experience. It turns out she’s a devoted fan of “Dateline” (as aren’t many others), but what sets her apart is that she and her team rely on her ex-law enforcement husband to ensure the details they construct in their stories are authentic.

I often immerse myself in true crime podcasts and Dateline episodes, attempting to follow the investigative process closely. Since my spouse is a law enforcement professional, I frequently consult him for insight, asking questions like, “If this were a crime scene, what would you suggest?” Naturally, he provides helpful technical advice to enhance my understanding.

It’s sweet when celebrity couples tie the knot, but what really charms me is seeing them collaborate on ventures, despite her being an actress and him having a background in law enforcement.

Back in the year 2000, I tied the knot with my partner, David Sanov. He was once a California Highway Patrolman, and our love story began when we were both in our twenties through a mutual connection – our parents. Now, it’s been over two decades since we started this journey together, and we’re blessed with two beautiful children. It seems like our teamwork extends beyond our marriage as well.

It seems fitting that Sanov could appear in a Hannah Swensen film, yet he’s previously made a similar appearance on Days of Our Lives. Could we be in store for another charming role like that? I’m merely suggesting that his schedule might be filled for this year, but there’s always the 2025 TV lineup to anticipate. We’ll let you know if any new Hannah Swensen mysteries are announced – whenever they may be.
