‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’ Horror Franchise Returns With Official Trailer

Sony Pictures has unveiled the official trailer for the much-anticipated horror follow-up to “I Know What You Did Last Summer“. This sneak peek hints at the comeback of key characters Jennifer Love Hewitt and Freddie Prinze Jr., who will once again embody Julie James and Ray Bronson.

Upcoming horror movie titled “Slasher: Year One After” will be helmed by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, with Sam Lansky co-writing the script. This fourth installment of the franchise serves as a direct sequel to the 1998 original, where a group of friends encounter a hook-wielding killer, having survived a hit-and-run accident one year prior that led to another man’s death.

In this upcoming film, Hewitt and Prinze Jr. are joined by fresh faces such as Madelyn Cline, Chase Sui Wonders, Lola Tung, Nicholas Alexander Chavez, Austin Nichols, Sarah Pidgeon, Tyriq Withers, Jonah Hauer-King, Billy Campbell, and Gabbriette. However, despite initial plans for Sarah Michelle Gellar to reprise her role as Helen Shivers, she ultimately chose not to return. Unfortunately, Camila Mendes had to back out due to scheduling issues, preventing her from being involved in the horror sequel.
