Many celebrities consider participating in Sean Evans’ famed Hot Ones challenge a significant milestone. Over 300 stars have attempted to eat the extraordinarily spicy wings, among them Conan O’Brien, Billie Eilish, and Kristen Bell, with some barely making it through. One who found the experience particularly harrowing is comedian-turned-actor Pete Davidson, who recently shared his honest account of his Hot Ones adventure, a tale not for the sensitive soul.
2020 saw Davidson bravely attempting the “classic” Hot Ones gauntlet of spicy chicken wings, a challenge hosted by Sean Evans. Despite his valiant effort, Davidson came close to giving up during this fiery ordeal. In fact, due to his struggling performance, the host granted him leniency and let him skip the final wing. Recently, in Bill Murray’s Hot Ones episode, Davidson seized the opportunity for redemption, sharing with Evans his experiences of tackling burning questions while munching on even hotter wings after their first encounter.
Oh by the way, I shit black. For about a week. For a week. Flaming hot black shit.
My stomach aches at the mere thought of it, and I wouldn’t dare find out what the smell is like. Yet, kudos to Pete Davidson for coming back after his previous ordeal. The episode in question had the SNL alum looking quite flustered, with tears streaming down his face. I can only imagine how difficult it must have been for him to confront those wings once more.
Instead of his “Riff Raff” costar’s final flight, the “Dumb Money” actor performed significantly better this round, shedding only a few quiet tears at the finish. Yet, he couldn’t match his competitor’s performance. The “Ghostbusters” actor maintained a stoic expression throughout, showing no signs of emotion whatsoever.
Some responses to the notorious hot wings have been quite severe, with ratings ranging from 1,200 to a staggering 2,693,000 on the Scoville scale for comparison, Frank’s Red Hot has 450 Scoville Heat Units (SHU). Unfortunately, many diners have discovered firsthand how potent the sauce can be. This includes Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who unfortunately didn’t wash his hands thoroughly before using the restroom.
Instead of witnessing a variety of responses, from an excited Lorde to a crying Jennifer Lawrence, we often don’t grasp the physical impact it has afterward. Nevertheless, I’d prefer the immediate vomiting of the No Hard Feelings actress over Davidson’s week-long ordeal on the toilet.
When queried about his advice for Murray, the native of Staten Island, who played Dog Man, responded succinctly and straightforwardly.
A lot of Pepto Bismol… and two-ply Cottonelle.
I’d also like to take a few days off to reflect on my life decisions. Frankly, it astounds me that so many celebrities are willing to join in, and I can’t fathom how Sean Evans manages to eat those wings repeatedly with such minimal reaction.
For the actor of “Bodies Bodies Bodies”, his upcoming tattoo removal session might seem like a breeze compared to what he’s currently experiencing. It’s just a matter of keeping things in perspective!
In 2025, you’ll find Davidson and Murray gracing the big screen together as vengeful hitman cousins in the latest comedy titled “Riff Raff“. Currently playing in cinemas near you! Wishing them a speedy recovery after their Hot Ones adventure.
