I’d Been Waiting For An Update On Jensen Ackles’ New Amazon Prime Show, So His Sweet BTS Photos Are Right On Time

As a seasoned gamer and avid TV show enthusiast who has witnessed the rise and fall of many beloved series, I have to admit that the recent surge of projects featuring Jensen Ackles is like a breath of fresh air. It’s been an

After wrapping up “Supernatural” four years ago, Jensen Ackles has kept a busy schedule. He produced and narrated the prequel series “The Winchesters”, joined “The Boys” as Soldier Boy (who he will reprise in the upcoming spin-off “Vought Rising”), and made guest appearances on Justin Hartley’s “Tracker”. Now, he’s back on our screens with another Amazon Prime series, “Countdown”, created by Derek Haas. It feels like I’ve been waiting a long time for some news, so Jensen Ackles’ behind-the-scenes photos from the set have arrived just in time!

In June, it was revealed that Ackles and Haas were collaborating on a new TV series. The storyline revolves around Ackles’ character, Mark Meachum, who is an LAPD officer and gets recruited to work with a covert group of undercover agents. Not much news has come out since then, but we now have something exciting to look forward to due to the main actor. He recently posted some behind-the-scenes photos on Instagram, telling fans, “We’re making great progress here and having a fantastic time.” Take a peek at the post yourself:

Judging by the photos, it appears that the cast is enjoying themselves during filming. The former star of Smallville posted pictures with his fellow actors Violett Beane, Uli Latukefu, and Elliot Knight, and I can’t wait to see them all in action. It seems like Ackles and Knight have been playing music between takes, and I hope their characters showcase their musical talents on screen. Additionally, it will be intriguing to watch Ackles take on another cop role after portraying a sheriff on Big Sky.

Currently, there’s no set release date for the series “Countdown”, however, if production goes as planned, we might hear an announcement soon. I’m optimistic that the anticipation will prove to be worthwhile.

It appears as though Jensen Ackles just can’t help but secure new roles and shows, a fact that, despite our sadness over his departure from playing Dean Winchester, excites us. We eagerly anticipate the projects he has in store for us, knowing that with his first-look deal with Amazon through his Chaos Machine production company (jointly managed with wife Danneel Ackles), there’s bound to be even more exciting work coming our way beyond Countdown and Vought Rising.

We can only wish for swift news about the forthcoming show, with anticipation that its air date will be announced soon in the 2025 TV lineup. Until then, let’s cross our fingers that Jensen Ackles and his team will share more behind-the-scenes photos to keep us engaged.

Even though the launch date for “Countdown” isn’t here quite yet, remember that there is an abundance of movies and shows available for streaming on Prime Video that you can enjoy in the meantime.
