As a longtime fan of Wheel of Fortune and someone who has grown up watching Pat Sajak and Vanna White, I must admit that I was initially skeptical about Ryan Seacrest taking over as the new host. However, after seeing the adorable video from their recent photoshoot, featuring the scene-stealing dog Georgia, my doubts have been alleviated.
Save the date, “Wheel” fans! As per the 2024 TV schedule, September 9 is earmarked for Ryan Seacrest to step into the host role of one of the most iconic game shows ever made. With whispers about behind-the-scenes strife between Seacrest and Vanna White swirling for a while now, “Wheel of Fortune” offered us a sneak peek at the new hosting pair in a video from their latest photoshoot – an event that was upstaged by a charming four-legged scene-stealer!
Ryan Seacrest has promised he won’t change anything about how the game is played as he becomes the first new host of Wheel of Fortune in over 40 years. However, in the video shared to the official Instagram page, it looks like he’s bringing the same silly energy we’ve seen on Live with Kelly & Ryan and his other big hosting gigs. OK, I don’t know whose idea it was to bring the loveable creature to set, but I can’t imagine anything that would boost the cast and crew’s spirits quicker after what looked like a pretty intense day of hair, makeup and costume changes. The photo crasher appears to be Ryan Seacrest’s pup Georgia, who he first introduced to the world 10 years ago, and the black Lab looked like she was having a pretty good time in front of the camera, especially when her dad broke out the tennis ball.
Regarding the anticipation for the premiere of Wheel of Fortune‘s 42nd season in a fortnight, Ryan Seacrest appears eager to step into Pat Sajak’s role. There was no indication of any tension between him and Vanna White, which isn’t surprising given that some reports have debunked rumors claiming they don’t see eye to eye. In truth, even if there are personal differences, their professionalism is such that it’s unlikely we would ever notice.
In the video, Ryan Seacrest amused himself by discussing his preferred music genres and mimicking the dance moves of the California Raisins (a nod to the ’80s!). Vanna White, on the other hand, was as stunning as ever, showcasing some of her timeless gowns. Fans of Wheel of Fortune have had varying yet passionate views about Ryan Seacrest’s hosting stint, but it seems everyone can breathe a sigh of relief now that Vanna White has successfully extended her contract for a couple more seasons.
The news emerged that Ryan Seacrest will step into the shoes of one of history’s top game show hosts on “Wheel of Fortune,” following Pat Sajak’s announcement to retire after Season 41. However, it seems Sajak isn’t completely saying goodbye – a fifth season of “Celebrity Wheel of Fortune” was filmed before his final syndicated episode, and the series is slated to air on ABC’s fall schedule in October.
