Prior to Todd and Julie Chrisley’s incarceration in early 2023, they, along with their children, were the stars of a popular reality TV show called “Chrisley Knows Best”. This show was a success for USA Network and can be streamed with a Peacock subscription. Since Todd and Julie went to prison, it has been reported that the family will star in a new show; however, there have been limited updates regarding this project. Now, Savannah Chrisley, their daughter, has shared some insights about the current status of the project.
In 2023, it was announced that a new show focused on the Chrisley family was being developed, with Savannah Chrisley expressing her hope that it would become a reality. Previously, she had shared that preparations were underway, as the family was collaborating with a production company. However, she later revealed to People that there were issues in the development phase when working with this specific company. To explain why things didn’t progress as planned, Savannah discussed the challenges they encountered during the project.
Initially, we collaborated with a production firm, but everything was smooth sailing until some actions displeased me. Consequently, I chose to withdraw from the project, stating, “I no longer wish to participate. I feel uneasy and unsafe, so I’m stepping back.
For nearly a decade, the Chrisley family worked together with USA Network, which is owned by NBCUniversal, on their reality TV show. Spanning over 10 seasons, audiences got to witness the highs and lows of this Atlanta-based family’s life. However, everything changed in 2022 when Julie and Todd Chrisley were convicted for bank fraud, tax evasion among other charges. The series concluded with its final season airing the following year.
Savannah Chrisley, known for hosting the Unlocked Podcast, didn’t give details about how her family’s project with the previously mentioned production company is divided. However, she did mention that they are currently negotiating with another company and are arranging schedules to begin filming soon. Regarding the potential show premiere date, Chrisley only shared a possible release window.
The network has expressed their desire for it. They plan to air it on August 11th, coincidentally my birthday. So, we’ll see what happens. If it’s set to air in August, then things need to move quickly. To be honest, that’s about all I know at the moment. With so many other businesses and family matters, I’ve delegated TV-related issues to agents.
More on Savannah Chrisley

Savannah Chrisley candidly discusses her challenges as a surrogate mother, highlighting the difficulties she has faced during this process while her parents are in prison.
Discussing Todd and Julie Chrisley, the real estate tycoon was given a 12-year prison term at a Federal Prison Camp in Pensacola, Florida, while Julie is serving a seven-year sentence at Lexington Medical Center in Kentucky. When the announcement about their new show first surfaced, it was stated that Todd was “elated” for his family due to securing the deal. However, there’s been some uncertainty as to whether Julie and Todd will feature on the series, given they’re currently incarcerated. For now, nothing seems definitive, but their attorney, Jay Surgent, has hinted at a potential involvement.
So far, there hasn’t been much discussion about the creative direction of the upcoming series. However, Chase Chrisley hinted that it wouldn’t avoid addressing their parents’ imprisonment and delving into the evolving family dynamics among him and his relatives. Savannah, who signed up for Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test around the same time the new Chrisley show was announced, appears optimistic about its progress. Naturally, fans will simply have to stay tuned to find out if the well-known family makes their way back onto our screens.
