Excitement swirls around Imran Khan’s anticipated return to acting, and director Danish Aslam has confirmed they will collaborate again. Rumors abound about Bhumi Pednekar potentially taking the female lead role in this upcoming project. New information indicates that the movie, planned for release on Netflix, is expected to start filming in April.

Indeed, as reported by HT City, a trustworthy source has disclosed that the streaming platform plans to be the first to announce the upcoming film starring Imran Khan and Bhumi Pednekar. The insider shared that Bhumi Pednekar has been confirmed for the lead role alongside Imran Khan, and production work is currently underway in full force. In approximately a month’s time, filming will commence.

Previously, Danish Aslam, a filmmaker, hinted at a potential collaboration with an actor from Break Ke Baad during an interview with India Today Digital. He refused to reveal specifics, but acknowledged the speculation, stating, “Some parts are accurate, some aren’t. Regrettably, it’s a project that is currently under development. Once everything is finalized and falls into place, we will eagerly share the news with everyone. However, all I can disclose at this point is that I am working on a project with Imran Khan.

During our chat about the return of rom-coms, Danish also shared that he’s currently collaborating on a fresh endeavor with Imran Khan.

Currently, in her professional life, Bhumi Pednekar recently appeared in the movie “Mere Husband Ki Biwi,” which premiered on February 21, 2025. This film also features Arjun Kapoor, Rakul Preet Singh, Aditya Seal, Dino Morea, and Harsh Gujral alongside Bhumi. The plot revolves around the character played by Arjun, who finds himself in a complex love story involving his ex-wife, portrayed by Bhumi, and his fiancée, represented by Rakul.
