In 2024, the film featuring Deadpool and Wolverine was one of the most significant releases, boasting an array of impressive Marvel characters. However, what truly stood out in this production was an early scene where Deadpool showcased his unique charm by dancing through the opening credits to the *NSYNC tune “Bye Bye Bye.
If you watched that opening sequence and thought to yourself “the only thing that would make this better is if Wolverine was dancing too” then I have good news, Hugh Jackman has you covered. Jackman is performing at Radio City Music Hall in 2025 and recently had his first performance. People reported on Jackman doing “what could have been” by doing his own “Bye Bye Bye” dance, but it turns out there’s actually a video, and it’s excellent.

In this rendition, we catch just a snippet of the act, and it’s unclear what led Hugh Jackman to incorporate a jump rope into his performance of the song. However, let me tell you, there isn’t much that Hugh Jackman can’t pull off and make appear effortlessly impressive, and he certainly does just that in this instance.
It’s said that Ryan Reynolds was there for this show, making us wonder how entertaining it must have been for him. For years, Reynolds and Jackman have maintained a playful rivalry, and the thought of their feud transforming into a “dance-off” is just laugh-out-loud funny. Don’t forget, you can rewatch that dance scene from Deadpool 3 again below.
Although it wasn’t typical for Wolverine to perform a dance routine in the movie Deadpool & Wolverine, considering the scene occurred before his character was fully introduced, I can’t help but wish they had included that dance sequence as a duet. Before he gained global fame as Wolverine in the X-Men films, Hugh Jackman was a talented Broadway performer with skills in both music and dance. It would have been fascinating to see those talents utilized in this movie.
Over the next few months and years, chances of witnessing Jackman’s stage performances could rise significantly. He has scheduled nine more appearances this year at Radio City Music Hall, but the divorced Jackman is also collaborating with Sutton Foster, his co-star in The Music Man on Broadway. It wouldn’t be surprising if they get more chances to perform together.
The concert dates for Radio City Music Hall set by Jackman are spread over several months, making it uncertain if each performance will be similar. Those attending future shows might have the opportunity to witness his entire act more intimately. However, speculation exists that Hugh Jackman may not yet have finished with Wolverine. If these rumors are accurate, then there’s a slim possibility we could see a Wolverine dance scene on the big screen in the future. Of course, it’s merely wishful thinking at this point.
