This game caters to those seeking the pleasure of nurturing a digital companion accompanied by the thrill of exploration.

My Talking Hank enjoyed 10 million downloads in the first week and featured on many top 10 Google Play charts. What’s it like for Outfit7 to see all those positive numbers coming in? Has it met or exceeded your expectations?

It’s truly heartening to witness the abundant success of our hard work on this game. Creating something from scratch takes dedication and passion, and as developers, we can’t help but feel a mix of excitement and apprehension leading up to its release. While we were encouraged by positive feedback during testing and early launches, the true test came when it reached a larger audience. Seeing millions of players download and engage with our creation brings immense pride to our team. We poured our hearts into building a world where you can nurture Hank and discover a rich, colorful island. It’s incredibly rewarding to see that connection resonate with so many people.

Outfit7 has been at the forefront of the virtual pet world for some time now. How did you decide to push the experience further with My Talking: Islands?

As pioneers in the realm of virtual pet games, we’re constantly seeking new frontiers. We’re like intrepid explorers, always asking, “How can we advance our current genres?” The concept for My Talking Hank: Islands has been brewing for a while. During the development of My Talking Tom 2, we began brainstorming ideas. As a seasoned gamer and virtual pet enthusiast, I can tell you that My Talking Tom Friends was already a great addition to the genre. But with My Talking Hank: Islands, the developers have truly outdone themselves. Having played numerous games in this category, I’ve grown accustomed to the routine of caring for my digital pets in their confined virtual environments.

Is there anything you learned from the previous game that had a big influence on this game?

Through every successful game we create in My Talking Hank: Islands, as well as those that don’t make the cut, we gain valuable insights. The most telling sign of our success is the unadulterated delight players exhibit. We prioritize clarity and simplicity in design. And let’s not forget a dash of humor! This unique combination results in an enjoyable experience filled with character for our players.

Certainly! We value player feedback greatly. We look at reviews on the store and conduct frequent playtests where players express their opinions. However, it’s important to note that our most critical and honest testers are our own family members.

Additionally, we hold regular internal game jams for our production team, providing opportunities for everyone to experiment and showcase their creativity. Many of the current features you enjoy were birthed from these jams, and there are even more exciting developments on the way.

While it’s great to celebrate current successes, the future is also important. So, what’s next for My Talking Hank: Islands?

In the upcoming autumn release, I’m thrilled to share that we’re introducing a new nighttime feature and addressing all the enhancements our game has been yearning for since its launch. These improvements didn’t make it in time for the initial version, but rest assured they’ll be worth the wait. And as a special treat, join Hank and his animal friends for some spooky Halloween trick-or-treating fun!

Towards the end of the year, we have big plans for releasing an significant upgrade. This update will allow you to explore a completely new island filled with unique animals and exciting activities. Plus, you’ll get to celebrate Christmas with Hank and all the other animals, adding to the joy and festivity of the season.
