io.net and Injective join forces to power DeFAI

IoT (Internet of Things) technology and Injective are teaming up to drive the advancement of decentralized finance and AI (Artificial Intelligence) within the Injective ecosystem.

The decentralized network IO.net (IO), by growing its decentralized GPU computing system, aims to make this vision a reality by integrating with Injective (INJ. This integration was announced by the Injective team through a blog post published on January 14th.

As stated by the platform, the integration has been activated, enabling DeFAI developers to utilize io.net on the INJ network.

In the present day, the DePIN market is approximately valued at $32 billion. Among the top projects in this sector by market capitalization, io.net holds a significant position. Other notable projects within this field are Render, Filecoin, Theta Network, and The Graph. According to crypto.news, as of January 14, 2025, the market cap for io.net stands at $393 million.

Currently, AI Agents and the overall AI market are valued at around $13 billion and $44 billion respectively. Notably, Injective – a project supported by prominent venture capitalists such as Jump Crypto and Pantera Capital, with a market cap of approximately $2.03 billion – is making waves in the industry. This innovative blockchain platform specializes in DeFi, real-world assets, and artificial intelligence.

Through their efforts in progressing decentralized computing and artificial intelligence using blockchain technology, io.net and Injective are expanding the realm of web3 development for creators. They provide tools that can be utilized, integrating with Injective’s iAgent infrastructure and o.net’s distributed GPU network.

In the month of December 2024, Injective and Aethir unveiled a significant partnership, which incorporated the use of token-based GPU computing resource distribution.

This initiative involves transforming GPU capabilities into tradable tokens on Injective, enabling developers, researchers, and businesses to acquire computational resources in a more adaptable and economical manner within the artificial intelligence environment.
