As an ardent fan, I am absolutely thrilled about Abhishek Bachchan‘s upcoming film, “I Want To Talk.” His transformation and captivating performance in the trailer have sent waves of anticipation through the fandom. The revelation that Shoojit Sircar chose Abhishek for this complex role because he sees a resemblance to his mother, Jaya Bachchan, has added an interesting layer to the film’s narrative.
Before the premiere of his upcoming movie titled “I Want To Talk,” headlines are swarming around Abhishek Bachchan. The intriguing new look and captivating performance shown in the film’s trailer have already stirred up excitement among fans about the upcoming production. Lately, its director, Shoojit Sircar, disclosed the reason behind casting Abhishek for the role, stating that he believes Abhishek resembles his mother, Jaya Bachchan, in many ways.
Shoojit Sircar’s movie, “I Want To Talk,” delves into the poignant tale of a man confronting a terminal illness, emphasizing the strong bond between father and daughter. Prior to its premiere, he shared his thoughts on casting Abhishek Bachchan for the intricate role in this film during an interview with India Today Digital.
The director reminisced about how Abhishek’s name frequently came up during script development and meetings with producers for the film. Subsequently, he encountered the actor in Australia and shared a meal with him, which provided an opportunity to witness a playful, innocent side of Abhishek that hadn’t been seen before.
The filmmaker behind Piku, who has previously collaborated with Amitabh Bachchan and is acquainted with his wife, Jaya Bachchan, made a comparison between the two. He expressed that unlike some people who believe Abhishek resembles his father more, he personally sees similarities between Abhishek and Jaya Bachchan.
In support of his assertion, he pointed out, “People often comment on the resemblance between him and his father, but what I noticed was a strong resemblance to Jaya Bachchan. This was evident in his eyes, his gestures, and even the way he speaks. Characters like those portrayed by Jaya in films such as Mahanagar or Abhimaan exuded an exceptional purity. I saw that same purity reflected in Abhishek.
He even drew a comparison of his experience working with Amitabh and Abhishek and explained that they are both disciplined in their work but differ in other ways.
Initially speaking, the renowned actor in pink shared an interesting point: Big B prefers extensive rehearsals, whereas his son takes a different approach by spending time on set and reviewing the script numerous times prior to filming a scene. Yet, it’s worth mentioning that Shoojit, the source, asserts that both father and son are deeply passionate about their acting craft.
I can’t help but gush over here! Abhishek’s transformation into Arjun for his upcoming movie is simply breathtaking. He immersed himself so deeply into the role that there’s nothing else to see – just pure Arjun. On set, he became one with the character, making it a truly captivating experience.
Furthermore, the director pointed out that Junior Bachchan found a deeper connection with his character ‘Arjun’ in the forthcoming movie, as he shares a similar experience of being a father to a daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan, and thus, resonates with the emotions of being a “dad to a girl.
The film “I Want To Talk” is scheduled to hit theaters on November 22, 2024. Alongside Abhishek, notable actors such as Ahliya Bamroo, Banita Sandhu, and Johny Lever will also be featured in this production. Prior to its release, the trailer was unveiled on November 5, 2024, garnering positive feedback from online viewers.
