Is Sanam Teri Kasam sequel in the works without Harshvardhan Rane, Mawra Hocane? Latest reports reveal exciting plot deets

As a dedicated follower who has witnessed numerous Bollywood love stories unfold on the silver screen, I must admit that the news of Sanam Teri Kasam’s sequel, Jaanam Teri Kasam, leaves me with mixed feelings. On one hand, it is exciting to learn about the return of the director duo Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru, and the prospect of a musical tale with a similar vibe as Aashiqui 2 is intriguing.

Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane first appeared in Hindi cinema with the 2016 romantic film Sanam Teri Kasam. Although it didn’t perform exceptionally well at the box office initially, the story of love and sorrow eventually gained significant recognition. Now, thanks to its enduring popularity as a late cult favorite, directors Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru are considering a sequel or spin-off.

As a devoted admirer, I’m excited to share some inside news about the potential continuation of “Sanam Teri Kasam.” Sources close to HT City have hinted at plans for a sequel, though it’s still in its early stages. The creative team has only just initiated the casting process, so we can expect more developments in the pre-production phase.

According to the source, the creators are not planning to reuse the same actors and are instead holding auditions for the lead roles at present. They will consider the supporting cast later on. The upcoming sequel, titled “Jaanam Teri Kasam,” is said to be a musical story with a vibe similar to that of “Aashiqui 2.”

As an ardent admirer, I’m thrilled to share that the creators are on the hunt for a captivating young woman who can enchant us with her vocals and embodies the essence of a talented singer, ideally aged between 18-20 years old. Reminiscing Sanam Teri Kasam, penned by Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru in 2016, I can’t help but feel excited about this new project, with Anurag Sinha, Manish Chaudhari, Murli Sharma, and Sudesh Berry gracing the screen.

In the skillful hands of director Chirantan Das, the movie was a contemporary adaptation of the myths surrounding Shiva-Sati and Eric Segal’s beloved novel Love Story. Under the musical direction of Himesh Reshammiya, Sanam Teri Kasam was composed with lyrics penned by Reshammiya, Sameer Anjaan, Shabbir Ahmed, and Subrat Sinha.

Despite the ban on Pakistani artists in Indian showbiz leaving Hocane unable to work again, Harshvardhan Rane has diversified his portfolio with various projects. However, none of these have garnered him as much acclaim as STK. Upcoming roles for Harshvardhan include Kun Faya Kun and Miranda Boys.
