Isabela Merced in Hot Water After Accidentally Leaking Superman Logo

The movie “Superman” boasts an impressive ensemble of recognized actors embodying legendary DC superheroes, including up-and-coming talent Isabela Merced, who assumes the role of Hawkgirl. Having previously starred in “Madame Web,” Merced was thrilled to be part of James Gunn’s eagerly awaited adaptation of Superman from Krypton, though her enthusiasm may have been a bit overzealous. Even before filming commenced, Merced admitted to inadvertently revealing a spoiler from the DCU film.

As I sat down for the script reading of “Superman,” I couldn’t contain my enthusiasm. In an impulsive moment, I decided to share a behind-the-scenes sneak peek on my Instagram Story – a simple photo of my name tag at the table. Little did I know, the iconic S logo for our titular hero was emblazoned there, a detail that hadn’t been unveiled to the public yet.

Predictably, DC Studios reached out promptly to ask for the removal of the post. However, I seemed to have missed their calls while engrossed in watching a movie, oblivious to the excitement stirring outside my cinematic bubble.

She adds, “I received four calls, unanswered because I was probably engrossed in a movie. I remember thinking, ‘This is my time.’ Later, I checked my phone and they told me I had inadvertently exposed the S symbol from Superman! I was shocked to discover it wasn’t just a stock image – I’ve been sketching that [S] since middle school. It was only online for an hour…I got into a bit of trouble, but it’s all right. Just an innocent mistake.

More to come.
