Back in 2009, it might not have been anticipated, but Isabelle Fuhrman‘s character Esther has become a recurring figure in horror films, largely due to the movie “Orphan” and its 2022 prequel, “Orphan: First Kill.” These movies have made everyone wary of children, serving as a refreshing contribution to the horror genre. A significant portion of this success can be attributed to the captivating portrayal of the psychopathic Esther by Fuhrman herself, who delivers the role with unyielding enthusiasm. Information about the third “Orphan” film reveals that William Brent Bell, who directed “Orphan: First Kill,” will once again take up the director’s role, with David Coggeshall penning the script, having also worked as a screenwriter on the previous film. Notably, Isabelle Fuhrman, portraying Esther, is set to reprise her role, strengthening her standing as one of the contemporary horror genre’s iconic villains. Her enthusiasm for the character is evident, yet she remains guarded about continuing the story from the first movie. At Spookala, she confessed that she initially hesitated about making a second film due to the self-contained nature of the original, but the enthusiastic reception to “Orphan: First Kill” inspired her and the creative team to embrace the opportunity for a third installment in the series.

Under the direction of Jaume Collet-Serra, with a screenplay by David Leslie Johnson, the initial “Orphan” film tells the story of a couple who, after tragically losing their unborn child, choose to adopt.
