As a devoted movie enthusiast, I am absolutely thrilled about Brandon Sklenar‘s latest venture! With his recent success in “It Ends With Us” and now starring opposite Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried in “The Housemaid”, it seems like this young talent is unstoppable.
Actor Brandon Sklenar is all set to feature alongside Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried in the upcoming psychological thriller “The Maid” directed by Paul Feig, produced by Lionsgate.
Sklenar was last seen alongside Blake Lively in the critically acclaimed romantic drama, “It Ends With Us,” which raked in an impressive $348.2 million at the global box office.
Lionsgate is supporting the production where Sweeney portrays Millie, a hard-pressed young woman who finds a new beginning as a housemaid for the affluent pair, Nina (Seyfried) and Andrew (Sklenar). However, Millie swiftly discovers that the family’s secrets outweigh the perils of her own history.
The movie’s plot was developed from a screenplay penned by Rebecca Sonnenshine, an adaptation of the bestselling novel by Freida McFadden, which has moved over 3.6 million copies.
In the latest phase of his career as a director, Feig has been working on ‘Jackpot!’, an action-comedy released by Amazon in August, followed by the upcoming ‘A Simple Favor 2’. This sequel, featuring Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick, is scheduled for release next spring by both Amazon and Lionsgate.
Sklenar will be featured in Christopher Landon’s upcoming film titled “Drop” produced by Blumhouse/Universal. Additionally, he gained notable recognition for his role as Spencer Dutton in Taylor Sheridan’s series “1923“, which is currently underway with its second season on Paramount+.
Todd Lieberman from Hidden Pictures is set to produce the film The Housemaid. Carly Kleinbart Elter will manage the project on behalf of Hidden Pictures. Additionally, Feigco’s Feig and Laura Fischer are also involved in the production process. Sweeney and Seyfried serve as executive producers, along with Alex Young and McFadden.
Chelsea Kujawa and Erin Jones-Wesley serve as the supervisors of the project at Lionsgate. Meanwhile, Sklenar is managed by WME, Neon Kite, and Goodman Genow.
