As a passionate gamer, I can’t hide my excitement! The fifth season of Stranger Things is on its way, and when it finally drops for Netflix subscribers like me, it will mark the end of an incredible journey. Although I know the Stranger Things universe won’t cease to exist with spin-offs and other media, the iconic sci-fi horror series only has eight episodes left in its run, and I can hardly wait to find out when they’ll air on the 2025 TV schedule. But now, David Harbour – our beloved Jim Hopper actor – has hinted that the Stranger Things series finale could be their best episode yet! Needless to say, I need this show back sooner rather than later – I mean, I couldn’t possibly wait any longer than I already have been!
In an interview for the “Happy Sad Confused” podcast (as reported by Deadline), David Harbour stated that “Stranger Things” will conclude on a triumphant note, and this is significant since he’s occasionally had criticisms about the show that catapulted him to global fame. To put it in his own words:
This show can receive quite a lot of praise from me… The way they concluded that particular episode – as we were simply reading it – around halfway through, people began shedding tears. Then, in the last 20 minutes, it was an outpouring of uncontrollable sobs, with different individuals crying at various points. Noah Schnapp being my top pick among the cast.
The closing episode of Stranger Things received a great deal of praise, according to David Harbour, who hinted that it would bring the series to a satisfying end. Despite not knowing when Season 5 will start, Harbour expressed his admiration for the final 20 minutes and Noah Schnapp’s portrayal of Will Byers. He further explained the cast’s emotional response by saying:
…It’s remarkable to reflect on the fact that these children were the ones living through their childhood as they started this show at just 11 and 12 years old. Fast forward a decade, and we find ourselves reading [the finale]. The passage of time has brought us here, and the concept is thoughtfully explored in such a poignant and moving way.
