‘It was bullying’: Sooraj Pancholi blames dad Aditya Pancholi’s ‘enemies’ for framing him in Jiah Khan case

Sooraj Pancholi endured a lengthy ordeal following accusations that he was responsible for actress Jiah Khan’s death, which ultimately proved to be unfounded as declared by the special CBI court. Now, he has spoken publicly about the challenging time in his life and pointed fingers at adversaries of his father Aditya Pancholi for framing him in this case. Additionally, Sooraj shared that he faced bullying during this difficult period.

During an interview with Varinder Chawla’s team, Sooraj Pancholi explained why he decided to take on the challenging path and face trial in the Jiah Khan case. He described this choice as a ‘sound decision’, stating that numerous individuals spread allegations against him after he was implicated in the case.

The actor from Kesari Veer expressed that newspapers portrayed him as a terrifying figure in people’s minds and labeled him as a terrorist when he was only twenty years old. He revealed that whenever his relationship faced difficulties, everyone assumed it was solely his fault. Yet, they failed to examine the past of the other individual or investigate the cause of the problems.

Sooraj asserted that numerous baseless accusations were leveled against him, leaving him feeling intensely trapped. He further stated, “It was blatant harassment, to be honest. I can’t help but wonder. It seems like those who held a grudge against my father might have been involved. At times, I ponder over it. I suspect everyone has their fair share of adversaries; perhaps he made some too. Who orchestrated it? I can’t say for certain.

In his own words, the Hero actor disclosed that he was compelled to pursue a trial, a challenging ordeal indeed. This lengthy process was particularly prolonged due to its nature as a media-related case. Remarkably, he had to make regular trips to court every week for a span of twelve long years.

Discussing further, Sooraj shared his experience of frequently spending entire days in court due to various reasons – sometimes the judge was absent, at other times it was the lawyers or the CBI who couldn’t make it, and on certain occasions, the necessary files weren’t submitted. Yet, he emphasized that him and his attorney had never missed a single court proceeding.

Sooraj Pancholi explained that the entire ordeal took a long time, but he persevered because he viewed it as the most straightforward method to clear himself of accusations. He also mentioned that all the claims made against him were false. Regarding the letter, which was central to his involvement in the Jiah Khan case, the actor revealed that it wasn’t authentic either.

In terms of his work, you’ll find him appearing next to Suniel Shetty in the movie “Kesari Veer”. This film is scheduled for release in cinemas on May 23rd.
