If you’re into popular culture, whether it’s movies, TV shows, sports, or music, chances are you’ve heard about Funko Pops. These distinctive collectible figurines with oversized heads have been around since 2010 and are an excellent way to express your passion for a specific property, character, or celebrity. In fact, even Tom Holland, the actor who plays Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, has his own collection of Funko Pops! However, he’s confessed that his accumulation of these figurines became excessive in an “embarrassing” manner.
GQ Spain published a snippet of a video featuring Tom Holland. In this video, he received a customized shopping list filled with items tailored for him and an endless supply of counterfeit money to spend. However, he could choose just one item from each category. One product he contemplated was a Spider-Man: Homecoming Funko Pop priced at $43.79, featuring Peter Parker in his self-made costume without the mask. Here’s what the actor commented on:
Homecoming Funko Pop valued at $43.79, which depicted Peter Parker in his DIY costume without the mask. Here’s what the actor had to say about it:
Funko Pop figurines are something I adore! They cost around $43 each, yet every cent is worth it. Frankly, I’ve managed to amass the entire collection of these awesome items. For quite some time, they were on display in my home, but eventually, it seemed like a personal shrine was being created, which became somewhat embarrassing. So, I stored them away in a cupboard, but I still hold a special place for them in my heart. Keep producing more of these amazing figurines!

As a devoted cinephile, it’s no secret that the vast majority of these Funko Pops hail from Tom Holland’s former collection, and they primarily feature his iconic Spider-Man character. Given his debut in Captain America: Civil War and subsequent appearances as Spider-Man in five more films, it’s safe to say there’s a veritable smorgasbord of Spidey variations available for fans. However, I’ve been scouring the collection in hopes of finding some figurines that aren’t tied to the web-slinger, and fortunately, there are a few! For instance, you’ll find Funko pops of his Nathan Drake from the Uncharted film and Ian Lightfoot from Pixar’s Onward.
Tom Holland ended up choosing the Funko Pop figure over three other non-masked figures based on him as Peter Parker/Spider-Man. Given that it’s not common for people to own multiple officially-released Funko figures, it’s understandable why he’d want to collect them. I’m wondering if Tom Holland owns any Funko Pops unrelated to his movie roles? While it’s feasible to create customized Funkos, officially-released ones from the brand are relatively scarce, making them desirable for collectors like Tom Holland.
In the not too distant timeframe, you’ll likely see more Funko Pop figures centered around Tom Holland’s character, as he will once again take on the role of Peter Parker for “Spider-Man 4” in 2026. Prior to that, all of Holland’s portrayals of the Marvel superhero, excluding “Spider-Man: No Way Home”, can be enjoyed with a Disney+ subscription.
