The movie “Jaat,” starring Sunny Deol, premiered in cinemas on April 10, 2025. Not long after, Sunny himself confirmed a follow-up to the action-filled film. Now, director Gopichand Malineni has shared insights into what viewers can anticipate from it. He disclosed that the family background of Sunny’s character will be delved into and guaranteed increased enjoyment with “Jaat 2.”
During a chat with Bollywood Hungama, filmmaker Gopichandh Malineni was inquired about the status of the script for Jaat 2. He mentioned that it would require some time to finalize. Yet, he promised that it will offer more action sequences, stronger emotional depth, and increased entertainment compared to its predecessor, Jaat.
In the upcoming part, Malineni mentioned they will include elements focusing on Sunny Deol’s family as well.
During the conversation, he also disclosed that Jaat 2 would only start in 2026.
Previously, Sunny Deol posted on Instagram announcing the upcoming movie Jaat 2. The post included a poster displaying the film’s title, along with the names of the actors and crew. In the caption, he expressed, “Jaat embarks on a fresh mission! #Jaat2.”

Previously, during TopMob’s masterclass, Sunny Deol was inquired about the prospect of a Jaat sequel. He stated, “Certainly, a movie will be made and people will enjoy that character. If they appreciate the storyline, only then a part 2 can be produced; otherwise it won’t be possible.
In Jaat, the movie featured Sunny Deol in a powerful persona, squaring off against Randeep Hooda, who took on the villainous role. The ensemble also included Vineet Kumar Singh, Regena Cassandrra, Saiyami Kher, Swaroopa Ghosh, and others.
The film was created through the combined efforts of Naveen Yerneni, Ravi Shankar (from Mythri Movie Makers), and TG Vishwa Prasad (from People Media Factory).
