In 2020, news of the Anaconda remake was unveiled. From the excitement surrounding reviving the 1997 original, to the School of Rock actor disclosing the main cast list while singing, there’s been lots of anticipation. A catchy tune revealed that along with Black and Rudd, Thandiwe Newton, Steve Zahn, Selton Mello, and Daniela Melchior are among other significant actors. Jack Black, known for his role in Nacho Libre, is also part of the cast. It appears that the new movie Anaconda has some big names attached (officially), they’ve got an intriguing plan for the giant snake, and the trio depicted in the promotional artwork seem well-equipped for the role. Despite being one of the most terrifying animal movies (excluding those featuring dinosaurs or sharks), I’m eager to see more. It doesn’t surprise me at all that these two actors were chosen for the remake since a massive project like this requires some high-profile talent. I’m not sure if they can match up to the legendary performances of Jennifer Lopez and Ice Cube, but let’s keep our fingers crossed! Frankly, I don’t believe this will become another unnecessary remake. Given how promising the upcoming horror movies look, it’s safe to say that this one has potential. Overall, I can’t wait to see this ensemble tackle the larger-than-life python!

It’s going to be exciting to watch all these actors in their upcoming films this winter, and I can’t wait to compare how Tom Gormican’s movie fares against its original counterpart. To be honest, I’m a bit taken aback but also impressed by the number of significant projects that Black and Rudd have lined up for this year, apart from their work in Anaconda. The actor from Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire has films like Death of a Unicorn and Power Ballad, while the star of Dear Santa has a role in A Minecraft Movie. That’s not even touching upon Tenacious D’s tour issues from last summer or the speculations about Ant-Man 4 being in limbo, both are certainly keeping busy!
Excitedly, I’m eagerly anticipating the unveiling of the main cast in the rebooted Anaconda film. If Jack Black, Paul Rudd, and Selton Mello decide to resurrect their bongo-guitar group for a handful of bonus tracks on the movie soundtrack, it would undoubtedly be an added delight for fans like myself.
