Jake Paul and Canelo Alvarez are nearing an agreement for a spring boxing match. As per ESPN, the anticipated location is T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on May 3rd. It’s also been reported that the cruiserweight bout will stream on Netflix, with the weight limit at 200 pounds.

Previously, Paul engaged in a boxing match with Mike Tyson, who had retired from the sport and gained fame on social media. Although he clinched victory through an eight-round decision and amassed 64 million simultaneous streams on Netflix, Paul has yet to spar against a top-tier professional boxer. Despite his inexperience, the 28-year-old is now anticipated to challenge Alvarez at the elite level. Alvarez currently holds the unified title at 168 pounds and was previously a champion at 175 pounds.

Generally, Alvarez typically fights only twice a year – once during Cinco de Mayo weekend and again in September for Mexican Independence Day.
