James Norton, Paddy Considine, Pip Torrens Board Guy Ritchie’s ‘Wife & Dog’

James Norton, Paddy Considine, and Pip Torrens are now part of the main cast in Guy Ritchie’s upcoming film titled “Wife & Dog“, as the production of this project by Black Bear has officially begun.

Cosmo Jarvis, Benedict Cumberbatch, Rosamund Pike, and Anthony Hopkins have been confirmed for an upcoming film where Guy Ritchie will revisit the vibrant, treacherous environment of the British upper class society. Not only is Ritchie directing this project, but he’s also penning the script and producing it together with his frequent collaborator Ivan Atkinson (known for The Gentlemen and Wrath of Man) as well as John Friedberg from Black Bear.

Actor Norton, known for his versatility in films and television, was nominated for BAFTA for his portrayal of Tommy Lee Royce in the BBC series “Happy Valley.” Considine first gained prominence with his role in the 1999 film “A Room for Romeo Brass,” directed by Shane Meadows. He has also been recognized for roles in films such as “Dead Man’s Shoes,” “The Bourne Ultimatum,” and “Hot Fuzz.” Torrens, on the other hand, played Tommy Lascelles in Netflix’s “The Crown.

Richie is primarily recognized for his directorial work in movies such as “Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels,” “Snatch,” “The Gentlemen,” and “Wrath of Man.” Although specific details about the upcoming film “Wife & Dog” are under wraps, it’s anticipated that the plot will align with Richie’s distinctive narrative style: crime dramas set in London.

In the television series “Wife & Dog,” the executive producer credits are given to Teddy Schwarzman, Michael Heimler, and Louise Killin. Previously, Black Bear and Ritchie and Atkinson had worked together on “The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare” and “In the Grey.

The film titled Wife & Dog intends to secure more territories for sales during Berlin’s film market, and it is currently being filmed in the United Kingdom. Sales for this movie initially commenced at Cannes.

Norton, Considine, Torrens, and Ritchie are each managed by multiple talent agencies. Norton is associated with WME, The Artists Partnership, and Tapestry London.
