Jamie xx Announces 'The Floor' Residencies in New York City and Los Angeles

As a seasoned gamer and a huge fan of electronic music, I can’t contain my excitement for Jamie xx’s upcoming “The Floor” residencies in New York City and Los Angeles this summer. Having followed his career since his days with The xx, it’s been incredible to see him continue to push boundaries and innovate within the genre.

Before the scheduled release of “In Waves” on September 20, which is still a couple of months away, Jamie xx is preparing for his next series of performances. He introduced the “The Floor” concept abroad several months ago and will now bring it to the United States. This summer, he plans to host “The Floor” residencies in New York City and Los Angeles.

The locations are still a mystery, but the dates are set in stone. Jamie xx is scheduled to perform in Brooklyn- Bushwick specifically, from July 23 to July 27. After that, he will move on to Downtown LA, where he will entertain crowds from July 30 to August 3. In total, Jamie xx will give five back-to-back shows in each city.

I finally got to realize my dream of opening my very own club, where I’ve spent the last ten consecutive nights partying with my friends and collaborators. And the best part? Just like The Floor in London, every venue and performance lineup in Bushwick and DTLA will be carefully selected to showcase the top local talent and my affinity for these vibrant cities. The precise locations will remain a secret, exclusively shared with ticket holders.

For seven blissful days in July, I’ll be immersed in the vibrant energy of Brooklyn, New York. The city’s rich history and diverse communities will surely leave a lasting impression on me.
