In her recollection, Kapoor said, “I believe I was about 14 years old when Rekha Ji visited our home for lunch, and I greeted her, and she asked me to call her Peddamma, which means ‘elder aunt’ in Telugu.
Over time, the young actress from Ulajh observed the special connection shared by her mother, Sridevi, and Rekha. She commented, “Whenever they didn’t want us children to understand their private jokes or confidential matters, they would switch to speaking Telugu.
Following Sridevi’s unexpected passing prior to Janhvi’s debut movie, Dhadak, Rekha took care of Janhvi in various ways, such as making phone calls, sending messages, accompanying her at award functions, and even encouraging her after the less-than-expected performance of her film Ulajh.
