As a long-time follower of the Bollywood scene, it’s truly heartening to see actors like Gulshan Devaiah speak up for their colleagues who are often subjected to unnecessary scrutiny and trolling. In today’s digital age, it seems that everyone has become a critic, forgetting the human aspect behind the stars they so easily judge.
In a more conversational style: Janhvi Kapoor and Gulshan Devaiah teamed up on a project called Ulajh. This spy-thriller came out earlier this month. Since the film’s premiere, Gulshan has recently spoken out about his dismay over the harsh online bullying that Janhvi frequently encounters on social media.
In a recent chat with Galatta India, Gulshan Devaiah discussed actors who originate from film families. He believes that these star kids might receive certain advantages due to their inherent charm, but they don’t have an easier path. During the discussion, the host even brought up Janhvi Kapoor as an example, who faced criticism on Reddit.
As a devoted admirer, I can’t help but echo his astonishment over the very same situation. Pondering about the motive behind the relentless teasing, he exclaimed, “I acknowledge that one misguided AMA incident occurred, yet I find it harshly unfair beyond that point. Frankly, I’m at a loss as to who could warrant such vicious trolling.”
Apart from discussing nepotism in the film industry, the actor also expressed his view that films are a medium open to interpretation, making it impossible to quantify their quality. While box-office success can be measured, he acknowledged its shortcomings, stating that it doesn’t accurately reflect the talent of everyone involved.
1. He continued to clarify his idea by bringing up the general interest in the public towards them. He reminisced about collaborating with Ira Khan on the set of Dahaad. While filming, he mentioned that people didn’t recognize her but would approach asking about “Aamir Khan’s daughter.”
The actor noted that it’s becoming progressively harder to maintain focus amidst the growing number of digital media projects, yet it’s their intriguing nature that keeps us captivated by their lives. However, he cautioned that this very aspect might not always prove beneficial.
“Indeed, some individuals may have more chances, yet they still encounter failures. Many of these people fail because initial enthusiasm from audiences wanes after a couple of movies, and their careers seem to stagnate as a result.”
Actor Gulshan Devaiah recently appeared in the movie titled “Ulajh,” starring Janhvi Kapoor. This production, directed by Sudhanshu Saria, debuted on August 2.
