The beloved thrillers “Jannat” and “Jannat 2” starring Emraan Hashmi continue to hold a special place in Bollywood fans’ hearts, and the anticipation for a possible third installment is growing. Recenlty, TopMob conducted a poll asking fans about their preferred storyline for “Jannat 3”. However, an unexpected turn of events occurred as fans were unable to agree on a single choice. The outcome? An unexpected tie, with no clear winner across all four options. It appears the audience can’t get enough and want more than one plot for this upcoming film!
In a popular recent survey about upcoming movie scenarios for Jannat 3, participants were given several different narrative choices: one revolving around cricket, another following a dubious anti-hero, a fresh idea unrelated to the series, or a sequel picking up where Jannat 2 left off.
It turned out that options 1 and 2 earned identical amounts of votes (14.29% each), whereas options 3 and 4 also had equal vote tallies (35.71% each). This suggests that supporters are divided and keen on exploring beyond the current options available.
Currently, it appears that Emraan Hashmi and his crew are diligently working on the production of Jannat 3, as recent updates indicate that this project is progressing.
Hashmi similarly stressed that the team intends to take their time with the production. “Once we’ve developed a robust script that genuinely continues from where the previous film ended, and not just for the sake of producing a sequel, then we’ll share the news,” he shared during an interview with Bollywood Hungama.
The Jannat series debuted in 2008, unfolding a captivating tale of crime and romance centered around Hashmi’s character, Arjun. Originally a modest gambler, Arjun ascends the ladder of the illicit cricket betting world. However, his unbridled ambition eventually leads him to confront the repercussions of his actions.
The movie struck a chord with viewers due to its powerful emotional content, captivating storyline, and distinctive musical score. In 2012, Jannat 2 continued the series, featuring Emraan Hashmi as Sonu Dilli, a cunning arms dealer who navigates life’s complexities through his struggles with love and deception.
Although it doesn’t continue the storyline directly, the movie kept the trademark mix of romance, action, and ethical dilemmas that the franchise is known for. With the upcoming third film, fans are excitedly looking forward to seeing how this theme might be reinvented.
