As a seasoned gamer and music enthusiast with a keen eye for celebrity culture, I must say this latest piece by Jason of Beverly Hills for Drake is nothing short of breathtaking! The intricate details, the sheer weight of gold and diamonds, and the clever incorporation of tour dates and landmarks are truly a testament to the artist’s skill.
Being a fan of both gaming and hip-hop, I can’t help but see a parallel between this pendant and the quest items we collect in our favorite games – rare, powerful, and imbued with meaning that only true fans will appreciate.
And let’s not forget the secret compartment revealing the Toronto skyline! Now, that’s like finding an Easter Egg in a video game, but in real life! It’s little details like these that make me appreciate such craftsmanship even more.
Lastly, as someone who has spent countless hours in virtual worlds, I can’t help but joke about how Drake’s alter ego, Anita Max Wynn, must be pretty excited to have her own pendant and travel down under for the tour. After all, she’s been stuck in Toronto for way too long!
In 2023, Drake is planning to kick off his “Anita Max Wynn” tour, marking his return to Australia and New Zealand for the first time since 2017. As a prelude to this tour, he’s having a custom piece of jewelry made by renowned jeweler Jason from Beverly Hills, to celebrate this special event.
Jason from Beverly Hills shared some behind-the-scenes images on Instagram, showcasing his latest creation for Drake, known as the “6God”. This unique piece is inspired by Drake’s tour mascot, Anita Max Wynn. The jewelry designer crafted this stunning chain using approximately 3 kilograms of gold and an impressive 250 carats of flawless diamonds.
Excited about the opportunity to collaborate with his long-time friend again, Jason explains that he has created several owl pieces for Drake in the past. This time, however, they decided on a pendant representing Drake’s alter ego. Just as the cartoon character carries hidden meanings, so does the pendant – not only does it display all the dates of Drake’s Australian tour, but it also has a secret compartment showcasing the Toronto skyline.
The reverse side showcases a detailed geographical map highlighting cities and stadiums that Drake visits during the Anita Maxx Wynn tour, specifically in Australia and New Zealand. Upon opening, it reveals an impressive skyline of Drake’s hometown, accentuating famous landmarks such as the CN Tower and Rogers Centre with striking detail. The pendant is elegantly adorned on a chain embellished with sparkling diamonds to complete the design.
Take a closer look at Drake’s new chain below.
