Despite being generally panned by critics upon release, with only 31% approval on Rotten Tomatoes and 40% from audiences on Popcornmeter, the movie Mechanic: Resurrection proved to be a significant box office hit, earning $125 million globally against a production budget of just $40 million. This surpassed the earnings of its predecessor by $48.7 million.

Although there’s been no announcement yet about Jason Statham reprising his role in The Mechanic 3, he’ll keep his action-packed career going with the upcoming film A Working Man. This movie is directed by David Ayer, who brought us The Beekeeper’s, and features a script co-written by Statham’s fellow action star Sylvester Stallone from their work on The Expendables.
