Jenna Ortega’s Black And White Striped Look Is Her Most On-Theme Take On Beetlejuice Beetlejuice Yet

Jenna Ortega's Black And White Striped Look Is Her Most On-Theme Take On Beetlejuice Beetlejuice Yet

As a devoted fan of Tim Burton’s fantastical world, I find myself utterly captivated by Jenna Ortega’s enchanting transformation into the spirit of method dressing. Her dedication to channeling characters from Beetlejuice and other Burton classics is nothing short of breathtaking.

Although the planned 2024 release for Beetlejuice (Beetlejuice’s film) seems to have been postponed, Jenna Ortega is nonetheless keeping the Beetlejuice spirit alive…oops, I may have said his name three times! Luckily, this isn’t a problem because instead of Michael Keaton’s demon character making an appearance, it’s his co-star, Jenna Ortega, who has caught our attention with her striking black and white striped outfit.

Although the Beetlejuice press tour has concluded, the Wednesday actress continues to embrace a black-and-white theme. In promotions for the movie, she successfully portrayed numerous characters, including Keaton’s ghost character, and she’s done it once more with her stylist Enrique Melendez, as evidenced in his Instagram post below:

The complete ensemble – featuring a high-necked top, short pants, and a lengthy trench coat – is from Missoni’s Fall-Winter 2024 collection. She accessorizes this look with Le Specs x Adam Selman black cat-eye sunglasses and Le Silla black stilettos. This fashion choice is both striking and fitting for the Beetlejuice theme, exuding elegance in a creative way. Her stylist also made it clear by mentioning it in his own post, as Melendez did.

Still Hype for the Stripes #beetlejuice… haha #dadjokes

Like I said, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice press might be over, but the Juice is very much still loose…

To be quite honest, this outfit is yet another impressive demonstration of the exceptional skill Ortega and her team have in creating outfits using the method of dressmaking.

This isn’t the first time she channeled the movie’s title character either, as Ortega filmed a “demure” TikTok in a black and white striped blazer that looks exactly like the one we know and love. She also rocked a red suit, per Melendez’s Instagram, at the Venice Film Festival that was inspired by Beetlejuice’s red tuxedo in the OG film.

Apart from drawing inspiration from Beetlejuice and creating striking outfits reminiscent of him, Ortega has also paid tribute to other characters in Tim Burton’s horror-comedy films. For instance, she has embodied Geena Davis’ character Barbara in a floral dress, and has donned ensembles inspired by Winona Ryder’s on-screen mother on multiple occasions. One of my favorites is the red gown that resembled Lydia’s dress from the original movie. Moreover, Ortega has excelled at method dressing by even wearing a bright yellow suit similar to Bob’s at one point in time.

In our review for “Beetlejuice Beetlejaube”, we praise Tim Burton’s heartwarming and nostalgic re-entry into this world, while Michelle Pfeiffer’s appearance stirs the same feelings within me. Furthermore, her upcoming wardrobe choices for the next press tour have me incredibly eager, as this entire final ensemble suggests that she is consistently prepared to dazzle in fashionable and well-suited attire.

As a thrilled admirer, I can’t help but share that the enchanting Jenna Ortega is joining forces with the captivating Michael Keaton’s Beetlejuice in “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” (oops, I seem to have said it three times again…). Don’t miss out on this spectacular continuation of the legacy, currently gracing screens at your local cinema!
