Exes Jennie Garth and Peter Facinelli have reunited unexpectedly.
More recently, Garth shared with E! News that things hadn’t been smooth sailing for quite some time between her and her ex-husband of 12 years, Facinelli. However, following the loss of Garth’s house to fires, Facinelli graciously allowed her and her family to stay at his residence. It was during the recording of an episode of her podcast “I Choose Me” in November, where Facinelli was a guest, that seemed to mend their relationship.
I’ve got to say, it was a game-changer for us,” I shared, explaining that it had been instrumental in bringing us closer together. “It gave us a chance to connect as friends, rather than as two parties who often disagreed, like estranged parents finding common ground again.
Garth confessed, “For a long time, it didn’t live up to its full potential of being enjoyable,” and he acknowledged that they had given the impression that it was fantastic, filled with nothing but rainbows and unicorns. However, he admitted that there were instances when it wasn’t as idyllic as portrayed.
Moving forward from our past, I find myself in a place where I can honestly say, “I’m glad we’re leaving that chapter behind us now.” Peter and I have shared 17 years together, and there’s no denying the bond we’ve formed. I admire his fiancée and his newborn son, and it feels wonderful to embrace this newfound openness and ease in our relationship.
In 2013, Garth and Facinelli got divorced and have three children together. Currently, Garth is married to Dave Abrams, while Facinelli is engaged and has a son. When the fires occurred, Facinelli graciously offered them shelter at his residence.
As a gamer, I’d rephrase it like this: “During those tough times, it felt like a no-brainer to reach out to my ex for support. The ladies were all like, ‘Let’s head over to dad’s place.’ So I said, ‘Sure, bring the pups too, Dave, meet us there.’ It was just us catching up, watching the news, chatting, and munching on Chinese food. There was this cozy, comforting vibe in the midst of a really frightening period.
She mentioned: “I’m certain there were instances that felt incredibly strange to them, such as ‘Wow, my mom and dad are here, in his kitchen enjoying banana bread together.’ I believe those moments must have seemed quite unreal to them sometimes.
Last month, Garth expressed her gratitude towards Facinelli in a heartfelt Instagram video after it was revealed her home had been spared. “I’m so thankful to Peter for allowing us to stay at his place,” she stated. “Me, the girls, the dogs, and Dave – we’re all incredibly grateful.” She also extended her appreciation to firefighters, news reporters, volunteers, and everyone who has been offering help to those who lost everything in the fires.
