The companies Roadside Attractions, Lionsgate, and LD Entertainment are in the process of concluding negotiations to buy the distribution rights for the musical movie within the U.S. The cast for this film directed by Bill Condon includes Diego Luna, Tonatiuh, and Tony Dovolani.

The focus of the project is on an individual imprisoned for political reasons, named Luna. Another inmate, Tonatiuh, constructs a fictional story from Hollywood, which features Ingrid Luna, played by Lopez.
