As a seasoned gamer and avid follower of Hollywood happenings, I must admit that the upcoming Angel Awards gala by Project Angel Food has piqued my interest significantly! The star-studded event promises an evening filled with glamour, tributes, and gastronomic delights.

I’m thrilled to share that I’ve managed to secure a place for Jesse Williams, the creative genius behind Fellow Travelers, Ron Nyswaner, the esteemed chef Sandra Lee, the talented Stuart O’Keeffe, and the charismatic Jeremy Piven at Project Angel Food’s upcoming Angel Awards gala. It’s an honor to be part of such a star-studded event!

The event is scheduled for Milk Studios in Hollywood on September 28th, a Saturday. This occasion will be the organization’s 35th anniversary celebration, during which Debbie Allen will receive the Humanitarian Award, Matt Bomer will earn the Angel Award, and L.A. Care Health Plan and its CEO John Baackes will be honored with the Sheryl Lee Ralph Legacy Award.

Williams is scheduled to present an award to his former colleague Allen, who once starred on Grey’s Anatomy. Meanwhile, Nyswaner will deliver a tribute to his Emmy-nominated star and executive producer from the critically acclaimed Showtime series. Lastly, Lee and chef Stuart O’Keeffe will bestow the Sheryl Lee Ralph Legacy Award upon L.A. Care Health Plan and Baackes.

Actor Jeremy Piven, fresh off his role in and production of the show “The Performance“, will honor Project Angel Food during its significant anniversary celebration. The event will additionally include a performance by Deborah Cox, involvement from Emily Osment, Harry Hamlin, Loni Love, Rachel Lindsay, Juan Pablo Di Pace, Tim Bagley, Cheryl Tiegs, Amy Phillips, Lauren Tom, Tai Babilonia, and Lisa Stanley.

Renowned celebrity auctioneer Billy Harris has been chosen to oversee a live auction event. Some of the items up for grabs this weekend are:

The Angel Awards are given out with the help of our presenting sponsor L.A. Care Health Plan and title sponsor Wells Fargo. Each year, our organization prepares and distributes over 1.5 million personalized meals to approximately 5,272 seriously ill individuals in Los Angeles County.
