Regrettably, unlike its highly successful original version from 1994, the sequel to “The Mask” that exists didn’t fare as well. Jim Carrey’s initial portrayal was both critically acclaimed (earning an 80% score on Rotten Tomatoes) and a financial success (grossing over $351 million against a budget of just $23 million). However, the 2005 release, titled “Son of the Mask,” lacked Carrey’s involvement and is now infamous for being one of the worst sequels ever produced.

As we eagerly anticipate potential revivals of characters like The Mask and The Grinch, Jim Carrey will next appear in the sequel to a video game movie, portraying various characters. Having thwarted Dr. Robotnik on two separate occasions, Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles now team up with this mad scientist against a formidable new foe, Shadow. This enigmatic antagonist possesses powers unlike any they’ve encountered before.

Initial responses to “Sonic the Hedgehog 3” are out, and critics are singing its praises, particularly commending the comeback of the Sega emblem and Jim Carrey’s exuberantly flamboyant portrayal.
