Jimmy Fallon to Host Marketing Competition Series at NBC

Beyond just being the host of “The Tonight Show”, Jimmy Fallon is well-known for his numerous endorsements, appearing in commercials for companies like State Farm, Pepsi, and Capital One, to name a few. He plans to leverage this expertise in his upcoming prime-time, unscripted show on NBC, which will be the main focus.

Jimmy Fallon will be responsible for producing, hosting, and overseeing the creation of “On Brand With Jimmy Fallon,” a competition series. This show revolves around the story of Jimmy starting a top-tier marketing agency, staffed with the most imaginative, resourceful, and ambitious individuals he can find, as described in the program’s synopsis.

Bozoma Saint John, who is a former marketing head for Netflix and Uber and currently stars on “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” has also joined the cast of “On Brand” as its chief marketing officer. Many well-known brands, such as Captain Morgan, Dunkin’, KitchenAid, Marshalls, Pillsbury, Samsung, Sonic, Southwest, and Therabody, will be featured on the show as clients for the agency, with significant screen time allocated to them.

As a gaming enthusiast, I’ve always been captivated by the thrill of branding, marketing, and the intriguing realm of advertising. I believe there are countless others who share this passion. This show offers an exclusive backstage pass, revealing the creative process behind crafting campaigns for some of the world’s most prominent brands. It’s invigorating to witness the hard work and strategy that goes into making these powerful marketing messages.

In each episode, The On Brand Agency (emphasizing its role as per the show’s title) collaborates with one of the mentioned brands to create a significant marketing campaign that could encompass commercials, jingles, live events, or merchandise. Fallon, Saint John, and a representative from the brand will select the most promising ideas, which then evolve into real-world advertising campaigns.

Once they’ve completed the final task, the victor will get a monetary reward, along with the chance to shape the cultural environment.

In collaboration, Sony Pictures TV’s B17 Entertainment and Universal Television Alternative Studio, along with Fallon’s Electric Hot Dog company, produce the show titled “On Brand“. Fallon serves as the executive producer, joined by Brien Meagher, Rhett Bachner, Pip Wells, and Kelly Powers. The CAA media and entertainment partnerships division, in conjunction with NBCUniversal, has teamed up to introduce brands into this very show.
