Jimmy Kimmel, Ayo Edebiri, Kerry Washington, Glenn Close and More Stars Participating in “No Kings” Protests

Hollywood is out participating in the “No Kings” protests.

Throughout the nation, demonstrations are taking place even in significant urban areas such as Los Angeles and New York City, expressing dissent towards President Donald Trump and his administration’s decisions. This comes mere hours before a military parade scheduled for Washington D.C. on Saturday, which coincides with the U.S. Army’s 250th Anniversary and also happens to be Trump’s birthday.

Jimmy Kimmel participated in a protest in San Francisco alongside his parents. He expressed, “A massive, motivating, and indeed, tranquil gathering took place in the South Bay. I encountered numerous individuals who cherish this nation and view it as a beacon of hope. I am thankful to witness countless Americans standing up for their fellow citizens, particularly my own parents.” Kimmel added, “I acknowledge how blessed I am to have been raised by a family that instilled in me the importance of empathy towards others. The most powerful phrases ever uttered are ‘Love one another.’ Indeed, it’s as straightforward as that.

Moby posted a video on Instagram from a demonstration, writing as a caption: “No rulers! It’s crucial we take every action to safeguard democracy: participate in protests, donate funds, share posts, run campaigns, vote, and mobilize. Furthermore, now is definitely not the moment for any internal squabbles.

Actress Ayo Edebiri, well-known for her role in “The Bear”, recently posted a snapshot on her Instagram Story featuring a sign saying, “I care for you and support you! Keep being courageous!

Actress Gina Rodriguez-LoCicero, famous for her role in “Jane the Virgin”, posted a video from a protest on her Instagram Story. In the caption she wrote, “When in Woodstock, even small towns make their voices heard! #NoKingsDay The originals are here!

Actress Mary Elizabeth Ellis, known for her role in “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia,” posted a series of videos on Instagram with the caption: “I felt good to join my fellow Los Angeles residents in peacefully protesting this administration today. #LA always comes through.

Glenn Close, along with Anna Kendrick (from Another Simple Favor), Tessa Thompson (known for her role in Creed), and Amy Lee from Evanescence, each shared videos on their Instagram Stories during the protests.

I shared a picture on Instagram of Morgan Fairchild participating in a protest, captioned “Indeed, that’s our woman.” (Or, “Yup, there she is, our lady.”)

The military parade begins at 6:30 p.m. ET.
