John Goodman Got Injured Filming Tom Cruise’s New Movie, And A Spokesperson Explained How It Will Impact Production

Sadly, John Goodman suffered a hip injury while working on Alejandro González Iñárritu’s latest film in the UK. Since then, the production of the movie with him and Tom Cruise has been temporarily halted as the actor recovers. But, rest assured, both the project and its star will be back and rolling again soon.

On Saturday, March 8th, it came to light that Goodman sustained an injury to his hip during movie filming. Notably, the actor is currently working alongside Tom Cruise, who is known for his role in Mission: Impossible. Warner Bros.’ representative shared a statement with Variety regarding production adjustments, detailing how this incident might affect the project’s progression.

Actor John Goodman sustained an injury to his hip. This required prompt medical care, causing a short break in filming so he could heal properly. Filming will resume the following week once John has made a full recovery.

In essence, it appears the situation won’t significantly disrupt the ongoing production. With Goodman seemingly making a swift recovery, filming is expected to restart next week – a positive development indeed.

Currently, we don’t have a lot of information regarding the film he is currently producing. This is Iñárritu’s first English-language project since The Revenant, for which Leonardo DiCaprio won his Academy Award. Alongside Goodman and Cruise, it will also feature Jesse Plemons, Sandra Hüller, Michael Stuhlbarg, and Sophie Wilde.

That alone makes it a must-watch.

It’s great news that Goodman is recovering well, and it seems he’ll be joining Tom Cruise again on set shortly.

As we learn more about the actor’s injury and this film in general, we’ll keep you posted.
