John Wicks Scott Adkins Wants To Bring Back Boyka for Undisputed 5

As a die-hard action movie enthusiast, I can wholeheartedly say that Scott Adkins is an unsung hero who deserves more recognition for his exceptional performances and unparalleled martial arts skills. Among his illustrious career, it’s Boyka from the Undisputed franchise that truly captivated me.

One of the lesser-known but critically acclaimed action film heroes, Scott Adkins, has expressed his desire to reprise a role from one of his iconic martial arts series. Renowned for performances in movies such as Ninja, Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning, Ip Man 4, The Expendables 2, and John Wick: Chapter 4, Adkins is best known for portraying the world’s most complete fighter, Yuri Boyka. And it seems that Adkins yearns to step back into the ring for another round.

Recently on Twitter, Adkins has been addressing fan queries about reprising his role as Boyka in a potential Undisputed 5. First introduced in the 2006 film Undisputed II: Last Man Standing, Yuri Boyka initially played the antagonist, facing off against Michael Jai White’s ex-boxer character within a Russian prison setting. Since then, Adkins’ Boyka has taken center stage, appearing in Undisputed III: Redemption (2010) and Boyka: Undisputed (2017). However, Adkins isn’t ready to hang up the gloves yet, as he feels there’s a compelling narrative for a fifth installment.

Absolutely, I’d be open to it. Previously, we made an attempt a few years ago, but unfortunately, we weren’t able to win over the producers. I feel that Boyka is a character with multiple dimensions, and I strongly believe there are more compelling stories yet to be told about him.

Scott Adkins Has Plenty of Major Action Movie Projects in the Pipeline

In the Undisputed series, Scott Adkins’ character Boyka is cherished by both Adkins himself and action movie enthusiasts. This role gave Adkins an opportunity to display his exceptional martial arts abilities and on-screen vigor. Although producers haven’t been persuaded to invite him back for a fifth installment, Adkins’ stardom continues to ascend, leaving us hopeful that they will reconsider.

Following his impressive role as Killa Harkan alongside Keanu Reeves and Donnie Yen in the action blockbuster “John Wick: Chapter 4” last year, Scott Adkins’ popularity has soared. Now, this versatile actor and martial artist is set to feature in some high-profile projects. Notably, Adkins has joined the cast of the upcoming Netflix action thriller “RIP,” where he will star alongside Matt Damon and Ben Affleck. According to reports, Adkins will portray Affleck’s brother, a fitting casting choice when you consider their appearances together. The plot revolves around a team of Miami cops who uncover millions in cash in an abandoned building. As news about the massive haul spreads, the team’s trust is tested, and they begin to question each other – even their own allies.

Scott Adkins will join forces with “The Raid” actor Iko Uwais for the upcoming sci-fi action sequel “Skyline: Warpath,” set to be released next year. To add even more action-packed thrills, he will team up again with his co-star from “John Wick: Chapter 4,” Marko Zaror in “Diablo.” He will also headline the action war film “Death March” and share the screen with Jean-Claude Van Damme in the follow-up to “Kickboxer,” titled “Kickboxer: Armageddon.
