In the newest clips from this month’s high-flying action thriller, “Fight or Flight,” Oppenheimer and Trap star Hartnett plays a bleach blonde John Wick type. This isn’t your ordinary airborne diversion, as Hartnett finds himself pitted against an entire plane full of assassins. Luckily, his character, Lucas Reyes, is no stranger to violence. Unfortunately, he’s been assigned the task of safeguarding the one person all these killers are intent on eliminating. You can catch the fresh trailer for “Fight or Flight” below.
In the action-packed thriller titled “Fight or Flight,” directed by James Madigan (known for “Runaways”), we find ourselves pitted alongside our protagonist, Josh Hartnett, as he confronts a host of familiar faces in an intriguing reinterpretation of Brad Pitt’s 2022 action hit “Bullet Train.” The ensemble cast includes Charithra Chandran (from “Bridgerton”) as the enigmatic figure that Hartnett’s assassin must shield, while Julian Kostov (“Shadow and Bone”), Katee Sackhoff (“Battlestar Galactica”), and Marko Zaror (“John Wick: Chapter 4”) take on the roles of the ruthless killers who aim to intensify the challenge for Hartnett’s determined mercenary. The fresh trailer is now available, along with the official synopsis for “Fight or Flight” provided below.
In this fast-paced, suspenseful tale, a hired gun is tasked with locating a specific individual aboard an airborne vessel. However, when danger lurks all around, the protagonist finds themselves not just safeguarding their target, but ensuring her survival amidst a sea of would-be assassins.
Josh Hartnett Excels as an Action Movie Lead
2025’s “Fight or Flight” has been nothing short of a thrilling start to the year for me, delivering an exceptional performance from Josh Hartnett as a gun-for-hire in a tense plane setting. The fight sequences, brilliantly choreographed by Brahim Chab and Alain Moussi, are a testament to the movie’s promise of becoming an action classic without compromise. Kudos to @DerekBrocks for echoing my sentiments on Twitter!
In agreement with marotastic from IMDb, it’s great that Josh has been cast in another action/comedy movie. They advise you to just go with the flow and enjoy the action movie experience. Essentially, their review says that the decision to cast Josh again was a smart one. It seems like some people may have overlooked him or maybe they hadn’t seen “Lucky Number Sleven,” but this role showcases Hartnett at his best – funny, violent, and charming! Since they didn’t expect much from the movie initially, their excitement level went up even more while watching it. So, don’t worry too much about the plot, just let it unfold.
The high-octane action thriller titled “Fight or Flight” is set to debut on Sky Cinema in the UK on February 28th. Although a release date in the U.S. hasn’t been announced yet, there’s buzz that it might hit screens in May, as it has been acquired for distribution by Oscilloscope Laboratories.
