The schedule for TV broadcasts in 2025 is moving at a fast pace, filled with numerous shows to carry us through the spring period. However, enthusiasts of reality shows are already peeking towards the summer. As a dedicated fan of “Big Brother,” I’m eagerly waiting for any updates regarding Season 27. When Julie Chen Moonves shared some insights about the upcoming season online, I couldn’t wait to catch up. Chenbot is all set for “BB” to resume its broadcast, and I think we might get it earlier than expected.
I’m absolutely thrilled to dedicate several hours daily to watching live feeds with my Paramount+ membership, and it seems likely that viewers will start doing this earlier than they have in the past few years. First, let’s discuss what the host of Big Brother shared, and then I’ll explain why I think so.
Julie Chen Moonves Tweeted Her Eagerness For Summer So Big Brother Returns
Julie Chen Moonves is synonymous with the show Big Brother, and she’s publicly stated that she’ll keep hosting as long as her abilities allow. Though she might sometimes sound mechanical during broadcasts, she comes alive when sharing updates. This is clear in her latest post on X, where she kicked off excitement for Season 27 with a video.
It seems like it might be the same high-energy techno music that played before the live feeds of Big Brother last season, while everyone was waiting for them to start officially. Despite how entertaining the post is, I found myself checking the calendar and questioning why Julie is hinting at Season 27 so early. Could it be that she’s suggesting it will begin sooner than we’ve grown accustomed to in recent years?

I Think Julie’s Early Tweets Are A Sign Season 27 Will Premiere In Early Summer
Except for Season 25, which got moved to August because of SAG-AFTRA and WGA writers’ strikes, Big Brother usually starts its seasons in July. It’s puzzling to me why Julie Chen Moonves is already building anticipation for the new season in March, given that CBS announced Season 26 would premiere in May 2024.

As a cinephile, I’m thrilled to share that Paramount Plus is my go-to platform for streaming! With a monthly subscription starting at just $7.99 or an annual commitment at $79.99, you get access to almost three decades of the legendary show Big Brother‘s seasons.
If you’re looking for an ad-free experience and double the content, their Premium plan with Showtime is just $12.99 a month. Or, opt for 12 months for the price of 10 by choosing their annual plan! Enjoy the show!
Here’s hoping that this news signifies a return of the “Big Brother” series in June, which is something we haven’t experienced since Season 21. Historically, such premieres have only occurred seven times in total throughout the show’s history. Fingers crossed that we might witness it again with Season 27.
I’m really looking forward to Season 27 of Big Brother coming back in June, given that the timing usually puts it against the early weeks of Survivor episodes on CBS. This often leads to the thrilling conclusions being delayed or rescheduled to make room for Survivor in prime time. Although I recognize Survivor’s popularity, it’s disappointing as a fan to see Big Brother end anticlimactically instead of receiving its due recognition because another series is returning.
As a movie enthusiast, I can hardly contain my excitement for the upcoming season! The hints suggest a possible return of the fan-favorite twist from Season 26, which has me eagerly awaiting its arrival. If Julie’s early promotions are anything to go by, it seems we might get to watch it earlier than July. I can only hope that it premieres on the first day of summer, but I guess that’s wishful thinking. Still, I’m looking forward to experiencing this season as soon as possible!
No matter when Season 27 of Big Brother airs, I’ll catch up on previous seasons on Paramount+ to build up my excitement. If you don’t have a subscription yet, you can check out a collection of episodes on Pluto TV. However, I strongly suggest getting a subscription before the new season begins so you can access the live feeds as soon as they become available.
