As a lifelong fan of both Jurassic Park and Steven Spielberg’s cinematic masterpieces, I must say that the upcoming Jurassic World Rebirth has me utterly enthralled! Gareth Edwards’ comparison of his film to Jaws only serves to heighten my anticipation. If this movie manages to capture even a fraction of the suspense, adventure, and sheer thrill of Spielberg’s classics, we are in for an unforgettable experience.

The 2025 movie lineup is bursting with big blockbusters, one of them being the eagerly awaited “Jurassic World Rebirth”. With the details revealed about this new installment in the dinosaur-focused series, it’s hard not to get thrilled. As for what lies ahead, the movie’s director, Gareth Edwards, has shared some insights into the franchise’s future. However, what truly excites me is that he mentioned a well-known box office hit while discussing his upcoming project.

So far, there’s already a lot of excitement about the movie Rebirth, even before a trailer has been released. Director Gareth Edwards has dedicated himself to this project, which is often compared to Steven Spielberg’s early works. Interestingly, when discussing his legacy sequel with Entertainment Weekly, Edwards mentioned another classic film of Spielberg’s as he expressed his anticipation and speculated whether it would start a new trilogy.

From my perspective, the latest Universal film seemed to kick off a fresh trilogy within the franchise. As for their future plans, it’s unclear, but it certainly felt like the start of a new and exciting chapter, reminiscent of Steven Spielberg’s earlier works. The movie has several scenes that echo Jaws, making it feel like a tribute to those classic moments I admired as a kid. Essentially, it’s an adventure journey across this island, with survival as its main theme.

If the 2025 blockbuster appears to draw inspiration from some classic Spielberg films like Jaws, then it might just be something truly exceptional. The director of E.T. has a unique filmmaking style that’s tough to imitate. Yet, Gareth Edwards, who’s famous for Godzilla, Rogue One, and other projects, also has an impressive knack for directing. Consequently, we can hope that Rebirth respectfully builds upon its predecessors while introducing some innovative aspects.

It’s quite exciting to learn that a fresh Jurassic trilogy might be kicking off! The 2015-2022 installments of the franchise weren’t disappointing, but they didn’t fully satisfy me (and I found the high heel debate particularly irksome). The leaked pictures of Scarlett Johansson for Rebirth have already given me a sneak peek into my preferred pre-release material. As for the upcoming movie, it will feature a team of scientists and a family battling to survive on an island inhabited by dinosaurs. Joining Johansson in this film are Jonathan Bennett, Rupert Friend, and Mahershala Ali.

I’ll need to rely on the excitement generated by the director and his team until the new Jurassic World movie comes out next year. There are certain circles where anticipation is high, and comparing it to Jaws might increase those feelings even more. Still, I’m optimistic that we’re in store for an incredibly exciting sequel.
